As long as they are tuned to CBS @ noonSo Dallas is watching the Texans, huh?
Bryce footwork is terrible. I'm so glad that Caserio wasn't allowed to draft that midget. Carolina has some veteran offensive minds, but no coaching is going to help the midget. This is just another in the long line of failed midget QB experiment. With the current injury report. I think we would be asking way too much for a win.
I just want to see the offense be aggressive because I know CJ will play well going back to Ohio.
Defensively.....missing a ton of guys. Not sure how you stop Joe Burrow, but I guess that is what good coaching is for so hopefully Demeco can really mask some coverages to get after their QB.
I just got done watching the Panthers All 22. I don't think Reich or that GM will make it to next year. I feel horrible for Bryce.

I don't know. His footwork is not terrible. He has a horrendous scheme and his OL is full of traffic cones. CJ couldn't perform in that offense anywhere near what he is doing here. I also don't think Bryce would be this good in this offense. So there is that.
I don't know.
I remember watching Bryce Young in the preseason & at the beginning of the season. Seemed like he had good pockets to throw from. He had a lot of time to wait for someone to get open. When he played the Texans he had time & did pretty well.
Maybe DCs keyed on something, adjusted & now the pressure gets to him more often than not. His coaches have not been able to counter what the DCs are doing.
I believe Cj was killing teams over the middle. The teams adjusted & started taking away the middle. Cj & Slowick got better outside the numbers & it's a new day.
So it's possible Slowick could have seen the issue plaguing Bryce & Reich would still try to force Cj to play his way... who knows?
Coaching matters.
I saw it. Like I've been saying, either Reich doesn't want to help Bryce or can't. I'd sit Bryce, start Dalton for a couple of weeks & find out which it is.If you are a football junky watch the first 10 mins...

Brutal. They need to clean house.

Can we deactivate someone and bring back TJ Yates for this one? The Bengals will poop their pants at the sight of ol TJ!!
The run game has got to get going at some point. This Sunday would be a great time for it. Give me 10-13 play, clock eating scoring drives. Keep ol McCulken on the sideline. Give me a game that goes under the total and the Texans have a great shot at the win.
Defense HAS to ramp up the pass rush and quit playing that soft prevent junk at the end of the half and game.
I’m anxious to see how this goes after the big win last week. Just don’t go lay an egg!
It's already a win of sorts that this Texans team has done enough for us to say that with a straight face.
I'd keep a lid on it until game time but if I was Cal I'd find a phone and see if T.J. Yates was interested in hanging out on the sidelines Sunday. I really would. Just a fun thing to do and a little reminder to everyone that sometimes what probably shouldn't be possible actually happens.
You might want to watch his feet at the top of his drop. Especially on the 2 ints for TD's.His footwork is not terrible. He has a horrendous scheme and his OL is full of traffic cones. Caldwell worked with Manning, Reich with Rivers, McCown is said to be a QB savant. I don't think coaching is the problem with Young.
Some guys are great college players and theirgamesS2 scores don't translate to the NFL.
Don't forget Mixon. Covering the RB has been a particular weakness for the Texans defense.Higgins out but Chase might be playing so there is that.
Tyler Boyd isn't mincemeat either as a WR2
.........The Texans have the fewest turnovers and interceptions thrown in the league....
I'm warry of Wilkins because he wants the record but I don't think he's THAT good.I hope they stay far away from Higgins.
The one guy I would like to see them add on each side of the ball in FA would be, Offense A.J.Dillon, Defense Wilkins. If those guys are available.

Would it really be TJ that the Bengals are scared of or Arian Foster?I'd keep a lid on it until game time but if I was Cal I'd find a phone and see if T.J. That's fine in theory but they're not just going to flip a switch. The run game has got to get going at some point. This Sunday would be a great time for it.
Imagine drafting a RB early in next years draft, will be a strong possibility. Probably could start a draft thread covering next years crop that better fit Slowick system. There is this thing called a running game in the NFL, but the Texans don't employ one. They do throw passes to their RBs though. And the RBs block a little. Other than that, not much.
Never said that…. Just said it would be a good time to get it going. Obviously…That's fine in theory but they're not just going to flip a switch.

Texans rookie starting defensive end Will Anderson Jr. returned to practice after being out one day with a knee injury.
Veteran wide receiver Robert Woods returned to practice from a foot injury and is working toward playing Sunday.
Starting linebacker Blake Cashman returned to practice from a knee injury after missing one practice.
He's probably top 5-8 in the league and just about to hit his prime. I'm paying him, drafting Sweat and following the 49ers model.I'm warry of Wilkins because he wants the record but I don't think he's THAT good.
That's what I'm thinking. Woods and Collins are probably out. Nelson and Ward out. Anderson and Cashman may be out too. That's a lot of big injuries to overcome. With the current injury report. I think we would be asking way too much for a win.

Perhaps instead of tackling, Cashman can jump up and drop kick them.Maybe it is both wrists!
Sticking to the story they heard. Lol I’m about to hit up Coach Cap and tell him to stop lying.Hold up. Wait a minute. Are you thanking......Hannah?![]()
He's a coach, it's part of the job. Probably the 1st question they asked him.Sticking to the story they heard. Lol I’m about to hit up Coach Cap and tell him to stop lying.

SteelB: I want the truth. Did you tell Caserio to draft Stroud? My point about her stands.
She got lucky. But hey I would rather be lucky than good.
How many episodes of Superman comics are there? I don't know, I ran out of fingers and toes while counting. My only wonder, about any of this, is how games of hero ball can Stroud put together?

Texans QB C.J. Stroud excited for Ohio return even if he expects 'booing'

A record-setting performance is the ideal precursor to a homecoming of sorts. C.J. Stroud will enjoy the fruits of such a sequence this Sunday in Cincinnati.
The home of the Bengals isn't exactly next door to Columbus, Ohio, the site of Stroud's Ohio State University, but it's close enough. And in Ohio, there are only two types of football fans -- those who support Ohio State, and those who do not -- meaning he can count on plenty of Buckeyes fans showing up for his team's trip to Paycor Stadium.
They just might not be there to support his Houston Texans. That's fine in Stroud's eyes; He's just there to do what he did plenty of in scarlet and gray: Win games in the Buckeye State.
"Yeah, man. I'm excited," Stroud said Wednesday, via the team's transcript. "I know it'll be a couple Ohio State fans there, maybe. But they'll probably be booing me that day, so it is what it is, and I'm excited to go back to Ohio and play. I wish it was a little colder. [laughs] Nah, I'm happy it's not cold. But yeah, for sure, I'm excited."
Sunday makes for an interesting matchup. Joe Burrow reigns in Cincinnati as the chosen savior of the Bengals, delivering an AFC title in 2021 and an AFC North title in 2022, and he's an Ohio product, growing up less than 150 miles from Cincinnati in the much smaller area of Athens, Ohio. He's also a former Buckeye, even if the folks down in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, bristle at this notion.
Effectively, this is a showdown of two former Buckeyes, even if Burrow transferred to LSU in order to receive a chance to start at quarterback for the Tigers. Stroud isn't from the state, though: The Southern California kid just so happened to rise late in his recruiting process (via his Elite 11 showing) and ended up following the bread crumbs to Columbus.
Actually Hannah went over Cal’s head and went straight to mama . LmaoSteelB: I want the truth. Did you tell Caserio to draft Stroud?
Hannah: You can't handle the truth. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who have spent years entertaining himself by bashing the Texans draft picks and then the one time we get it right, you question the manner in how we picked Stroud. You want me in the draft room, you need me in the draft room. I would rather you just say "thank you" and go on your way.
SteelB: Did you tell Caserio to draft Stroud?
Hannah: You damn right I did!
