Week 1 VS Skins.....Lets Predict ;)

EllisUnit

Vote RED!!!
I have done these every game the past 3 seasons and 2 of the 3 we made the play-offs. So why stop now ? I think this season will be especially fun considering all the negative nancys we have around right now.

But smile i'm here to pump some sunshine into your anti positive no rainbow in the sky sucky perspectives.

Texans - 27
Redskins - 13

Foster - 124 yards 2 TDs
AJ - 103 1 TD
Chunky - 2 FGs
Watt - 3 sacks since he is so pumped about his nice new contract
Clowney - 1 Sack

Skins 17
Texans 13

Not sold on our offensive line. I think it will be a few weeks
before we see more games like ATL & DEN and less of AZ & SF

-- that is, of course, only if Fitz stays healthy..

By the way, chunky's official nick is "Fat Randy.."

To be honest, I have absolutely no idea what to expect. I would not be surprised by anything that happens this Sunday, including either us getting taken to the cleaners or us doing it to Washington.

I am expecting some nice "replay" plays from our defensive front. Other than that, I got no idea whatsoever.

Skins offense is all out of whack w RG3 back there. I expect our defense to dominate.
On offense, run the ball and avoid the turnover. 24-10 Texans

My sentiments exactly. Maybe after the first game, or the first couple games we'll have some idea what the team is going to be like this year, but right now who really knows ?

Texans - 34
Redskins - 17

Foster - 80 yds rushing & 40 yds receiving & 1 td
Fat Randy - 2 fgs
AJ - 103 yds & 1 td
Fiedo - 2 tds
JJ - 1 sack, 3 tkls for a loss, & 4 bated passes
Clowney - 3 sacks, 2 tkls for a loss, & 1 forced fumble
DJ Swag - fumble returned for td
Big Tex aka Ryan Mallett - 3 tds and 295 yds passing :kitten:
Yes my kool aid is spiked with vodka so what I like it. :koolaid:
If I sober up from my spiked kool aid.
Texans - 17
Redskin - 10

I predict there will be a football game played in NRG stadium on 9-7-14 and there will not be a tie. Other than that, I got nothin'...
:uprights:

EDIT: Texans defer if they win the coin toss.

Should we wait with batted breath for these bated passes? :kitten::user:

I think we crush the skins. I know our qb spot and secondary still scare us, but I have a feeling this year will be damn good. Our stars on offense carry the mediocre qb play and the defense becomes top 5 in every category.

Redskins - 9

Texans can't get it into the end zone and Fat Randy kicks 5 FG, including the game winner as time expires. Which was only needed because Swearinger got a taunting penalty late in the 4th quarter on a 3rd down sack by Mercilus that let to the second 'Skins TD and a 14-12 lead. Ronnie Brown has a wildcat scramble of 42 yards to set up the final kick. Fitz pulls a hammy running onto the field after the kick and Mallett is immediately named the Week 2 starter in the post-game presser.

Or something like that...

Negative? More like realistic. Large enough sample of the Fitzmonster to know what we have, that being said, our defense could be epic. Lets hope so. Texans 14 Washington 10.

Given how much of an unknown our offense is...who knows what will happen. If it turns out anything like what we saw in pre-season, we're screwed.

That 3rd game when the 1st team was in and they had that long drive to score. That team can beat the Redskins.

Anything less than that, they are in trouble...

My kool aid is spiked with vodka, so I'm a little inebriated at the moment. :beerfunnel:

when we play washington I always think about that 2010 game...

Isn't this the 1st time we've played them since then?

First two drives ended in punts. That "long" drive came off of Bouye's INT, starting at our 43. One 57 yard drive by the ones in the pre-season isn't very assuring, imo

ok but the way they moved the ball, forcing the defense to run side line to side line, having Fitzpatrick make accurate throws to keep the ball moving. basically ball control...

that is how they are going to have to play with Fitzpatrick under center...

One defensive/special teams TD.

Both offenses struggle and this game is dominated by both defenses.

I just hope it's not 16-13. I never want to see this team stuck on 16 again. The last five or six seasons of that is enough for me, forever.

What do you think about the Redskins defense?

I really agree with above but I will say below to make it interesting.
1. Washington loads the box and dares Fitz to throw the ball.
2. Fitz throws short routes that are contested, maybe ball tipped by defender or line once for 1 int and bad throw/bad judgement leads to another. Fitz and WRs still not on same page. Discover why we haven't seen Fitz throw long.
3. Arian plays but is rusty and because Redskins stacking box is not a factor. Does not finish game for unknown reason.
4. JD/JJ make a couple highlight plays. Front seven plays OK.
5. RG does not impress but makes a few big plays to the WRs. Our secondary is exposed once again as slow.
6. We actually play good enough to win but don't because we cannot score in red zone and get burned on few big plays.
7. JD or Cushing don't finish game.
8. We discover Grimes doesn't look as good once the real game begins.

That's enough.
