Week 1 Sunday games

Hate the traditional helmets with the black and red. It clashes, they should have gone with a different helmet as well.

With 6:01 left in the 2nd half, Teddy Bridgewater is 6 of 12 for 41 yards & a rating of 58...

WTF?

Doesn't the Vikings have a receiver we should have drafted instead of Hopkins?

Cordarrelle Patterson. He got drafted 2 picks after we took Hopkins. He's their #4 WR and primary kick returner. According to most reports, the Vikings have grown increasingly frustrated with his lack of development and inability to run a full route tree. He pretty much just runs go routes and screens.

In his career he has 79 recs for 854 yards (10.8 ypc) and 5 TD's. He also has 2 return TD's.

In his career Hopkins has 137 recs for 2110 yards (15.4 ypc) and 10 TD's.

I think we made the right choice.

Dez Bryant has confirmed Jones fracture..........probably will be out ~8 weeks...........Hopefully does not suffer an not uncommon need for re-operation for complications, ala Devante Parker.

Locked in is a definitely a term for 10 carries for 31 yards.

I was physically drained after the Dallas trip and fell asleep at halftime. However, I did see him dragging the three or four defenders hanging on to the first down marker.

So what's the score on QBs we should have taken ?

Bortles ... Jags fans are comparing him to Gabbert
Teddy ... is a WCO guy . He's got an average arm at best
Johnny ... No
Carr ... he's got happy feet and comes apart like a cheap rug when pressured
Garoppolo ... who knows

HAHA look at all the analysts pop up 24 hrs later, and holding hands at that! CUTE! And some of you coming in here with the same douchebag bullshit that you cry about in other threads? Funny, but keep up the good work and you gotta work on those pathetic jokes, ya'll can do better than that, am I going to have to call Infantry to come liven this thread up? LMAO

Yep Vikings wet the bed last night. NOt sure what the offensive game plan was, but the OLINE didnt do them any favors. SF looked really good, the defense was flying around and made things difficult for Teddy Ballgame. From the sound of it some of you analysts would prefer Hoyer after 1 game? Interesting.

For the amount of bitching, whining, moaning, complaining, lamenting over the fact that we didn't draft the QB God Teddy Bridgewater, yeah a few jokes are well deserved. I see you're salty about it so it worked.

Teddy straight up pulled a Hoyer. Or a Schaub. Or a Carr. Or a Sage. Or a Yates.

gonna cry brb

Last night was the first game I saw Bridgewater play in the NFL. He didn't have a good night, but I was still impressed with the way he felt pressure & the ease & athleticism he used to get out of trouble. Uncanny.

Imo, his biggest weakness is the lack of anticipation on his throws. But the way he's able to keep plays alive, with such ease, he may be able to stay alive long enough to become really, really good.

That said, I did see hints of David Carr creeping in. When he threw the hell mary that didn't even get to the end zone... I was thinking he would rather lose the game than throw an INT. But then the next play, looked like the plan was to throw short of the end zone & have a play maker run it into the end zone.... so I don't know

Teddy had a bad game. Ok. Guys, very good guys, have bad games.

That, imo, is one of the biggest reasons first round QBs find success more often than later round picks. There are a lot of talented guys that go in the late rounds... like Aaron Murray.

That dude is talented & he can play some football. But if he ever gets a chance to play, he better light it up, or he'll be forgotten & replaced by the next regime in Kansas City.

Zach Mettenberger. If he was a first round pick, they wouldn't have been looking to replace him. He'll probably be the next Matt Schaub, or Drew Brees... unless Tyrod Taylor beats him to it ( or Mallett).

Look at the rope Blake Bortles is getting.

That's also why I fear Hoyer will start in Cleveland. OB thinks he's found his guy.
