I am suprised at Va Tech, only because they struggled against a Conference USA team. I guess the voters gave them a pass - given the emotional level of that game.
 
That's what we get for putting our 2nd and 3rd stringers in as to not run up the score. Does that mean we should pull the crap Oklahoma did, WTF?
 
I'm of the opinion that there should be no polls at all until at least the fourth week of the season. Lets get a sample of these teams work before we try to rank them.

I think the Pollsters are no longer giving probs to OSU beating youngstown state every year.

That is OK GT did not get credit for beating Notre Dame either.
 
Why would GaTech get credit for beating Notre Dame??. GaTech should be criticized like everyone else for putting a cupcake on their schedule...

It is ok I was makin fun of myself when I posted that. I have gotten enough crap the last two days. Oh well, it takes time to undo what Ty "rather be golfing instead of recruiting" Willingham and Bob "we don't need no stinking offense" Davies.

this is good. the pollsters are actually ranking teams based on performance on a week-to-week basis and not just on where they are ranked in the preseason. people make a big deal out of the preseason polls, but if pollsters actually used their heads and voted on a WEEK-TO-WEEK basis then preseason polls are fine and dandy.
