Can You say Jimmy Johnson??? Bring Gary Kubiak Back to Texas as well. He'll make a good head coach I think. We can't possibly get a worse on than we now have. Get me Denver's owner on the phone. Hello, Pat...

I'll take Jimmy. In my opinion, what better way to beat the Jerry next season than by hiring his old coach. - Love the Cowboys, can't stand Jerry.

I knew it would be said. Mark VanDerMeer just said "didn't New England come in here 2 years ago and lose 31-0 then win the Super Bowl." He's the ulitmate homer...

And why not be a homer. After all, it is our team. Most this putrid spewing of negativity has been goin on since way before the season even began anyway. A cowards way of self-prophesising. If the Texans do well.."Yay, I knew they could do it." if they do bad,"See I TOLD YA SO!!". The positive or bright side is the ying to all the negative yang. Seems the yang feel there is no room for ying. The Texans get to start the season against arguably the best 2 defenses in the league. My predicition of 9-7 accounted for an 0-2 start.

GO TEXANS! Im still a fan and happy to have football in Houston again.

I am a Buffalo mod and you had some moron Peek N Payne (two others, dotn remember the names) that trolled all week long.
nope, sorry, you are not a buffalo mod, you are a wanna be buffalo mod.... buffalorange.com is not the buffalo message board address... the real buffalo message board is at buffalobills.com

As for the negativity I've demonstrated, I've said it all along. YOU CAN'T EXPECT BETTER RESULTS WITH THE SAME PERSONNEL, That INCLUDES THE COACHES!!! YEAH!!!

The D played well ALL game. The problem was they played ALL game long.

They may have played better than the O, but There were too many mis-tackles(sp)
We only sacked them once and we forced no turnovers. I remember when the D could do that. Next game the D should be much improved because they can.

I really never expected the O to get any better. They need a total change, but hey it was only one game and they were predicted to lose.

Since I shot for the media I will be on the field.

Pittsburgh clobered the Titans 34-7

Houston, we have a problem.

The truth is, the Texans stunk the place up today (specifically the offense). Just because I'm honest and lament the horrible playing doesn't mean I don't like the Texans. It's because I love the Texans so much that I'm so upset when they suck (which is quite often).

Jesus, we can't even complete a short pass in "garbage time"... :bomb:

*Correction - We can, just to the other guys....

*LMAO* some people in here need to have their stand up on Comedy Central. I agree with you. If it weren't for you guys, I would have hung myself by now!

You're absolutely, right. I hate to bring up past efforts but there were times that the team shined even when they ended up coming up short. For the coaching staff to not look back on those high points and build on them is just horrible. I can think of many of those games that were so close that you've gotta ask yourself why didn't they build on that?

So much talent on this team, such a waste.

It may me time for the Texans ownership to consider if a coaching change is needed. The Texans have looked less than polished all through preseason and now is showing in the regular season. I'm disappointed. We deserve more!

LOL fa real man...the D played pretty good...I'll give em props.

Losman looked ok for a guy in his 1st game as a starting QB. That said, he wasn't under much pressure, so he was real comfortable.

The Pass Rush has to get better, or we are in DEEP trouble, period.

O-Line deserves no speech/rating. :embarrass

Carr I think is shellshocked...he knows he has no Line and is super erratic.

Davis had a tough day with that fumble...better days ahead for him IMO.

Robinson > all...period. P-Buc looked bad early, but looked better in the 2nd qtr on.

Run D was ok...wasn't as bad as it looks with the 5.3 YPC that McGahee....good game by him, but I think we made him work for it.

Overall, very bad game offensively..couldnt do much of anything. Hopefully they pull out a victory @ home vs. PIT.

Unfortunatly, I was unable to watch the game AT ALL....I am in CO (thank you Army) and they played the Broncos game instead....It's my fault they lost....Sorry (very superstitious here)

all that talent and no coaching..chris palmer needs to go and dom to if he dont open it up..all i can say i still have my aikman jersy and i will wear it till houston can give me reason to put it up for good....oiler fan til buffalo debaucle.....

I can't believe the pitiful game planning today. It is always the same, first play going deep then run when that does not work. Palmer wasted Tim Couch's potential and he is going to do the same with Carr! :brickwall

I watched the whole game and I can't believe how ridiculous some stuff was:

-Did Kailee Wong play? It looked like the OL literally used him as one of those bean bags that the refs use to mark the spot of a fumble.

-I think the right tackle is just about finished digesting Jason Babin... if you watched close enough, the RT actually unhitched his jaw and ate him whole.

-HEY DEFENSE, TRY A TWIST OR DIFFERENT STUNT SCHEME... SENDING 4 OR 5 STRAIGHT UP FIELD WASN'T WORKING. Remember when Robinsion and Simmons blitzed... Losman actually had a cartoon bubble pop up on my TV screen that said "What the?"

-I love keeping Dominick Davis in the backfield for pass protection. That way the defense has to slow down over the speed bump before they run over Carr.

-I am tired of Carr being so inaccurate. He hit Gaffney right in the forearm on a 20 yard post pattern. Doesn't Carr know by now that you have to hit Gaffney in the hands? WHERE THE F WAS GAFFNEY LOOKING AND WHAT GOOD REASON DOES HE HAVE TO NOT BE LOOKING? HOW FAR WAS HE GOING TO RUN BEFORE HE LOOKED BACK. I literally tried to impale myself on a buffalo wing after that.

Payne: You are a nose tackle. The ball is three feet from your head. When it moves, go. If it doesn't move, stay. You are making us Cornell grads look stupid. Stop it. Thank you.

Buchanon: I know it is early to be playing the "Oh ****, maybe that was a bad trade" card, but... Oh ****, maybe that was a bad trade. In actuality, he just couldn't hang with the receivers one on one for as long as Losman had to throw. Although, the Raiders thought he sucked, and obviously Buffalo saw something in game tape to make them think to never throw the ball to Robinson's side except once in a blue moon. If is quacks like a duck...

C.C. Brown: Very excited about this guy, played a solid safety and provided excellent support, made some tough open field tackles. Solid.

WR's: I quote Patches O'Hoolihan from "Dodgeball: The Movie" ... "AND WILL SOMEONE CATCH A GOD DAMN BALL! WE LOOK LIKE A BUNCH OF..." Watch the movie, the rest of the quote is a little too tasteless for the boards.

:goodnight

My stomach hurt the whole game. I wanted them to do well so bad. I will watch next week and hope that the following changes take place:

-I think our three WR's ought to be Armstrong and Mathis, along with AJ.
-Don't run Davis on 1st down for the first three series. Just don't do it. Too easy to key on.
-More CB blitzing.
-Twist Babin and Walker more. Same with Polk and Smith. Bring CC Brown up to help.
-Throw to the TE more often.

Let's not revisit the Houston vs. Buffalo game of 1/93.

Get Carr an O-line that will protect him. He looks scared out there. Then again, has Carr picked up the tab lately for his O-line of late?
