We Wuz Hosed

Tony Banks did not fumble the ball, he was trying to throw it away to avoid sack at best loss of down for intentional grounding, but I have already emailed Mike Pereira Head of NFL officials and detailed down and distance time on clock. He like Jerry Seeman will be honest and admit they made mistakes and advise nothing that will change outcome. But at least he will call in Ron Winter and crew and counsel him

yeah, saw that play. just wish banks would have just taken that sack to begin with. but thats all hindsight.

That was a classic, 'old school' Tony Banks play...a small snapshot as to why he is a journeyman QB in the NFL.

I think that is what Banks was trying to do (ground the ball) but a replay from a different view showed that Banks lost his grip on the ball and juggled it before losing it, but keep in mind I was watching Ch. 12 out of Beaumont and I think that they are Dallas homers.

Nah, I was thinking he was trying to pass it out as well (which as a vet, if you're tangled up already, I'd think you should hold the ball tight and take what's coming). But then they showed the view from the back and it still looked like his intention, but moreso that the ball was knocked out. I think the correct call was made.

It reminded me of why the Rams got rid of Banks. He was good for one of those every other game. :embarrass

Kurt Warner was doing that kind of stuff too in his last days in St. Louis. Probably why they got rid of him as well.

We were hosed on the sack. Off sides Dallas. Also, a lot of phantom holding calls.

saw about 4 hits by Dallas D with helmets not called, they even showed in the highlights of 31 using helmet which I thought was a penalty :challenge

Being at the stadium, it was interesting to see that the Cowboys corners were falling into our recievers legs as they were trailing (which ended up tripping and making our recievers fall) when a pass was thrown their way. Interestingly enough, it never drew a penalty.

I thought i saw alot of that too. I'd have to go look again to see what part of the helmet he was hitting with.

It looked like he was attempting to pass or ground but I looked close and he did bobble the ball. Therefore it was a correct call. However there were lots of other penalties that game that went uncalled that should have been called. The helmet hitting for one and the ankle tagging for 2.

It sounds like we are more mad because it was the Cowboys. Fact is if we don't throw an interception when we finally start moving the ball to a wide open Terrance Newman, and if our Oline would stop holding people, we probably win that game.
