The NFL Network is planning expansive -- and expanded -- coverage of the NFL draft this weekend. For those who get the network, here's the lineup:
Draft Day programming begins at 8 a.m. PT, featuring:
"The NFL Draft: Is it an Art or a Science?" The theme running through NFL Network's Draft weekend coverage will be: "Is the Draft an art or is it a science?" Steve Sabol and Mike Mayock tackle this topic with three features: "The Art of the Draft," "The Science of the Draft" and "Is the Draft an Art or a Science?" Sabol takes a historical look at various draft strategies, Mayock looks at the facts and figures of past Drafts. Throughout the more than 24 hours of coverage, all NFL Network analysts will contribute to the topic.
Quarterback Evaluation: Former NFL head coach Brian Billick, Charles Davis, and Jamie Dukes open the playbook on the topic of analyzing and evaluating quarterbacks for the NFL. Mike Mayock, Marshall Faulk, Steve Mariucci and Deion Sanders also weigh in on it.
Charley Casserly sits down with Houston Texans DE Mario Williams to discuss their once criticized, but now hailed Draft Day experiences when Williams was selected No. 1 (by Casserly) over USC star running back Reggie Bush and Texas quarterback and Houston-native Vince Young.
Deion Sanders talks to Darren McFadden: Sanders sits down with prospect McFadden to discuss his pre-draft experience, where he'd like to end up and what he looks forward to in the NFL.
Mike Mayock's Final Mock Draft: NFL Network Draft expert Mike Mayock, whose prior mock drafts have sparked much debate, unveils his final mock draft counting down from pick #32 to whom he thinks will go first.
NFL Head Coaches spend time with NFL Network including Herm Edwards of the Kansas City Chiefs and Sean Payton of the New Orleans Saints.
Fan Features:
Jamie Dukes Sets the Scene: Dukes gives viewers a look the full fan on-site experience when he goes out into the NFL Draft Fan Central festival located outside of Radio City Music Hall on New York City's 51st Street.
"FanCam": NFL Network will incorporate the voice of the fan throughout the telecast by featuring immediate, unaltered reactions and opinions captured in a fan confessional booth on location.
