I just had to check what this thread was about. good stuff!
I have a Kareem Jackson if you're interested.
Its for the rear end not the co... nevermind
Matt Stevens wasn't as natually gifted as most NFL players but he put enough effort and hard work into football to make the roster and start for an NFL expansion team.
A few years ago he was involved in a motorcycle accident that left him in a wheelchair.

Tragic. I feel for him and his family.
Still doesn't change my opinion about his game. He never should have stepped on the field as more than a special teamer.
And another thing... It's really hard to feel ultra compassionate for a tatted up dude that got into a wreck on his motorcycle. I'm a giving and sympathetic guy, so I really want to feel terrible about it. But I just can't.
chron.com said:"It's mind-boggling," he said. "One day, I'm out there running around doing what I wanted to do, jumping in the pool, playing with my kids. Now all I can do is sit in a chair and watch everybody else. I remember telling myself I'd never buy a sport bike, and then when I did, I told myself I'd never do anything crazy. I did something crazy, and I paid for it."
He pays for it every hour of every day as the simplest of tasks become incomprehensibly difficult and, at times, humiliating.
"I only have half my diaphragm," he said. "I can't spit. I can't blow my nose. People do stuff like that and never give it a second thought. Truthfully, though, I just don't spend much time thinking like that. I can't wallow in self-pity. All I can do is keep working and trying to get better."

Wow dude. I am not a very sympathetic guy, most of my friends consider me an A-hole but just wow. Is it because he had tats? No idea what caused the motorcycle wreck
Even if you disagree with his decision, the way he talks about his kids and stuff. This is from a chron article on him but I already closed down the link on accident before I copied the link.
Everyone does stupid stuff. I remember running my rx7 down 45 @ 120+ mph at 4 in the morning. I am literally a slick spot on the road away from his position or worse.

I have a tattoo on my ankle.

What was it that you do? Sell repossessed homes? Yeah... you all about sympathy, buddy.
Inexperience caused his wreck. He'd only been riding for a short while. He made a mistake and he paid a dear price for it. For that... he gets my condolences. To err is human.
BTW Sakebomb, you brought up Travis Johnson. Can you believe Cassery passed up Derrick Johnson to draft his lazy a**? I thought of that the other night when I saw DJ blow up a play and make an interception on the same drive. Just imagine how good he would look here right now in this 3-4 D.
I'm curious... are you trying to imply that its more dangerous for me to ride at a "high rate of speed" as opposed to a hearing person? If so, could you give specific examples? I bet I could easily debunk them.I sure do. Is that a jab?
I take pride in what I do, just as you do. With my job, I know there is a risk in going out in the east Texas backwoods and verifying that a home is empty. Just like you realize there is a risk from being deaf and riding a motorcycle at a high rate of speed. We just have to be willing to know that things might not turn out for the best.
And my honest opinion is to put my family first before I ever think of getting on a motorcycle or doing anything extreme. I don't need the high... I've gotten it by seeing my son crawl, my daughter saying her first words, etc. I don't need to risk my life to feel good.
LIKE I SAID BEFORE... JMO
To put your enjoyment over your family's needs is just stupid...

Presume much about my family values? Ah... it goes both ways... I wouldn't want to teach my kids the art of bottom feeding. A repoman's job is rightfully dangerous. I shrug off the "gunned down repoman in the middle of the night" stories on my local newscast. I root for the homeowner. JMO! JMO!! JUST MY OPINION.
In a feeble attempt to lighten the mood... I saw my kids crawl but you've got me at their first words. Damn bikes...
I generally go to a home in the middle of the day. Typically the mortgage companies verify that the home is empty before I go take pictures, make inspection reports and do repair estimates. Then I work on marketing the home. I SELL mobile homes. That is why you contacted me before, because you were interested in BUYING a mobile home. See the trend there? I'm not a repo man or a bottom feeder dude. I sell homes to people for a fraction of their retail value, and provide affordable housing opportunities.
I never personally attacked you, as you did with me, calling me a bottom feeder. That's pretty damn rude. I started a thread that I thought would be kind of an inside joke for Texans fans. Didn't know about Stevens wreck or probably wouldn't have included him in here.
I stand by my post.
I need to get back to neglecting my kids and indulging myself...
