-im sceptical about Bush being an every down player.
-im sceptical about Brick's health and think that pitts can be a solid LT
-we need a dominant middle linebacker (aj hawk) especially if we switch to the 4-3.
- if we draft a tackle in the first, it should be a RT to replace Wade's sorry @$$.

No offense, but the poll is set up wrong IMO. If you trade down it is for a package of compensation, not with a preconceived notion of a particular player you are going to get when you trade down.

Just take D'brick, start him at RT, and leave pitts at LT for now. When he is ready, or Pitts gets injured, put him at LT.

We have been searching for a LT from day one. Why not make the sure pick in D'brick?

Trade down? You might get leapfroged yourself, and have to draft elsewhere.

After seeing the D screw us over, I think a defensive player is necessary.
Oh no, we went through that same old saying last year and what did it get us? Nothing but a losing team. We need offense offense offense....

Why is everyone so black and white? There is not any one player who will turn the Texans around and there are a lot who can and would contribute significantly. The issue in trading down or not is what is offered as compensation. Sitting with the clock on at #1 and a team offers next year's 1st round and 3rd round picks and this year's 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks to move from #1 to #8 you jump on it. If they offer only a 3rd to move then you tell them to take a hike. It is a value analysis of what is offered not some hard and fast rule.

Yeah, because having used the #1 draft pick for O last year would have made all the difference this year.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD Trade down, get D'brick, and a few extra picks and get a Safety (Slay) and a TRUE OLB or TRUE ILB!

If we got all those picks I would not be able to control the drooling for atleast 2 days.

This trade down talk is sounding very tasty. There is only one thing that wories me though. Last year the Texans went from 13th to 16th and only picked up a 3rd round for this year. Of course there is also the Chargers/Giants trade. Do you guys think we will get much more than that for trading down.

I doubt it!! the giants wanted the Eli Bad i dont think there's anyone that desperate but there might be a team out there wanting Matt Lion heart i was thinking someone like the lions. and if we get that top pick may be we could trade with the lions lets say WR R.Willians and there 1st for our 1st kinda far fetched
but and interesting possibility:texflag:

well we'll so how durable bush is against UCLA...
I think that game is gonna tell allot about him, one way or the other. Every Texan fan should be watching that game to see who we are talking about as 1 and 2 in the draft, meaning Leinart and Bush...

Then we can all make our opinions be known once again...

If Casserly's still here next year, we'll trade the number 1 overall pick for a third rounder next year...no doubt.

I completely agree unless Bush is there IMO, but I love your thinking on this topic.
