go texans!

whatn is the link to vote

she said she's going next weekend to sing and should be able to vote shortly there after. I am guessing its probably for the New England game.

Remember voters!! Amy and one other gal were the only TEXANS trying out. The rest were people who could care less about the Texans, or even football from what I've heard.

VOTE FOR AMY!!!

Hey now... if I voted for Amy, it'd definitely be a biased vote. I would not be making a honest assertion as to her singing abilities. Is that really what we want to do?

Lol. I would be proud to vote for Amy. She's a great one just the same as Andrew.

Do good and be good.

Well, I thought this was suppose to be about TEXAN fan appreciation, and a TEXAN fan was SUPPOSE to receive the honor. I don't care if a bunch of kids from Arkansas sound like the kids from Sound of Music, they are NOT TEXAN fans!! I'm just stubborn, I guess!!

BTW: That rendition we heard today was an insult to the beauty of the song. I was embarrassed for those three girls. Absolutely HORRIBLE!! JMO! I hope to NEVER hear anything like that again!

Ummm... I think you misunderstood my intent. I was referring to me not being able to hear Amy's or any of the contestant's voices. I know you're fully aware but it may have slipped your mind for a second... I'm Deaf. As far as I'm concerned, Amy (or any other contestant) could have been just as good/bad as those three sisters today! I was just taking a swipe at my inability to judge honestly. All in good fun.

I kind of enjoyed watching that fat kid from American Idol (or whatever show it was) sing the National Anthem prior to the San Francisco game. He seemed to really put himself into the song. He's not really a Texans fan now is he?

My post definitely took a turn for the wrong way. Please disregard! Amy and Andrew are two of my favorite people on this board. They will always get my vote. Repeatedly.

My first question was "Is it just me, or was that one of the worst renditions I ever heard." I was assured that is wasn't just me and now there's one more person that was not impressed.

I was surrounded by professional musicians, and we were all looking at each other wondering the same thing. One of the trombone players quipped that there were actually FOUR singers in the group, and the one named Melody took the day off.

ba-dump-bump!

Worst ARRANGEMENT of the SSB I've ever heard...the girls sang what they sang well, it was just poorly arranged. VERY poorly.

I wasn't taking a stab at ya Nitro. I'm aware of your hearing impairment and I respect you more than you will ever know. Just wanted to remind everyone that this was a contest for TEXAN fans to sing in front of their peers on FAN appreciation day. I think most of the time the NA is sang by professionals with links to the musical world in some way. Not just a fan like you or I with the ability to sing. If they can't pick a Texan fan to sing the NA then get someone better than what we heard yesterday. I don't care if it's Susan Boyle!! lol

Also, just so you will know, and you won't know unless someone tells ya, the kid that sang at the SF game sang God Bless America, not the NA. Not sure who sang that, but, until yesterday, it's always been very, very good.

BTW: Missed ya at the tailgate.

it was suppose to be posted as of Monday but it is now Tuesday and still not posted on the Houston Texans website. Not exactly sure what the hold up is.

This is from Amy, Voting has finally Begun.

I was wondering if you would take the time to vote for me. I entered the National Anthem Contest to sing at the last Houston Texans game against the Patriots on Jan. 3rd! I was one of 13 chosen to come back for live auditions out of 70. I have always wanted to sing the anthem at a game and now is my chance! Those that know me understand my love of the Texans and who better to represent them then ME!!! Thanks again for your time and support! Try to vote as soon as possible. . . and we find out if we won on December 22! Thanks so much yall!
