Vince Young Going Pro per Scott Wright of NFL Draft Countdown

I posted this over on titanscentral...............McNair confirmed today...........Vince will announce it in Austin this week.
 
I will be disappointed in VY if he declares, I just think he can improve his passing game, and im just afraid that he is gonna screw up his career by entering the draft, but best of luck to vince if he declares

YOUNG IS COMING OUT

A league source tells us that Texas quarterback Vince Young definitely is entering the NFL draft.

Young also is believed either to have picked an agent or to have narrowed the field of potential representatives. One name we're hearing in this regard is Marvin Demoff.

Before the Rose Bowl, Young was reportedly leaning toward staying with the Longhorns for his senior season. But after a performance for the ages, the oversized sidearmer has realized that the time has come to get paid for his efforts.

Young is the first underclassman in the Mack Brown era to leave Texas early. Last month, one league insider joked to us that Young was unlikely to leave for the NFL, because it would mean that he would have to take a pay cut.

No one in Texas should be upset about Young's decision. He delivered on a national championship, and he gave them all a set of memories that can never be taken away.

And the NFL team that should be happiest to hear the news in this regard is the Tennessee Titans, who are now guaranteed to get Young or USC tailback Reggie Bush or USC quarterback Matt Leinart at the third spot in the draft.
 
The mention of Young's agent just brought up a thought.

If Bush picks rosenhaus as his agent, I will either become a Vince supporter.. or be screaming for a trade down.
 
While we're all talking about possibilites, here's one... VY getting drafted by the Saints could work to his benefit and all of his UT followers. If Benson got his way and moved his Saints to San Antonio...then UT and Austin could help support an NFL team in San Antonio - sell outs every game!

Better yet... all the UT alums could pool their cash and BUY the Saints and move them to San Antonio or Austin...

Ive seen a list of the agents Bush is chosing from and "next question" isnt mentioned anywhere

How can he "improve" his passing game @UT working out of the spread? He has done all he could at the college level. Time to play with the big boys.
 
this is good news for the texans, now the #1 pick is worth LOTS. they can get alot of stuff for it if they trade down hopefully.
 
This makes a trade down with the NY Jets much more likely. If they want to go offense that is. With the likely retirement or decrease in use of Curtis Martin and the questions about Million-Dollar baby Chad Pennington, the Jets will likely be looking to move up. Since accordingly they could make the move for a 1st, 2nd, next years 1st and 3rd we would be looking quite nice. They may be even willing to throw in a 4th or 5th this year if Cass can con them into it.
