Vikings disinterest in Carr

This is a late addition and it may be in the four pages but here are full quotes from todays Chronicle..same stuff. I'm assuming that many teams and coaches see similar things.

Childress told the station the Vikings aren't interested in trading for Carr, and he explained why.

"I always struggled with where his release came from," Childress said. "It's kind of a drop-down, three-quarter, not overhand, over-the-top release.

"Just in the tape I've watched in the (five) years he's been in the league, he can make some of the throws, (but) he can't make all the throws. He gets some balls batted at the line of scrimmage just because of where that ball comes from.

"(It's) a little more difficult to throw in-the-seam throws because it doesn't come from over the top. He can't get a ball to get out of his hand, get up and get down.

"He's a smart guy; he's a decent athlete. But when you're buying a quarterback at this level and you kick the tires, there shouldn't be a lot of things that you're trying to straighten out. You pick a Carr, you pick a quarterback because you like all the things about him. ... You don't want to feel like there are any perceived flaws."

For what it's worth, if I threw a ball sidearm my arm would be a short distance from the football. What ever destination the football had, my arm would be right there with it.:dance2: Mainly due to a couple of surgeries.

Gotta love a "I said he sucked first" thread.

I remember seeing David Carr play pee-wee football and mentioning to some parents sitting next to me that he had a problem with his sidearm delivery and it could hurt him down the road.

So I win. :joker:

*BUUUZZZZZ* I'm sorry, the correct answer was Brett Favre. :shades:

David Carr is THE TOUGHEST QB in the NFL@! I hope he doesnt turn into Muhammed ALi in his old age from all the punishment he's taken....

Ali did the ropa dope to win the fight .

I equate Carr to being Randall Tex Cobb .

People don't want to hear that people think that Carr struggles with throws in the seam and his funky delivery may be a root cause....because it's a ridiculous notion....how dare you post this! IM DONE WITH YOU!!!

Please no..lol. I'm sure it didn't used to be like that and Capers made him throw that way:rolleyes: Is that what I'm supposed to say?

I've stated for a while that Carr has a funky hitch and doesn't have a good intermediate or long ball...but the forum called me crazy and a hater. I guess I'm not so bonkers now.

....well, maybe I am and this has nothing to do with it. :joker:

Vinny, as soon as I read that and when he said that he has trouble hitting the intermediate routes, I came to the board to see what you had to say about that because I do remember you saying this David Carr's entire career.
