Verba or Turley?

TheGus

Practice Squad
Which ones should the Texans look at? Verba said he's interested in Houston, Turley says he wants to be a DE. Now we do have Vicotr riley in ase we can't get a HUGE NAME. But who would you prefer for the O Line?

Neither. Stick Pitts at LT, and improve in the draft next year where its loaded with quality left tackles.

Well said 84, well said!

Anything more we are doing and we're reaching......When you reach, you pay out the butt!

Ok first of all Turley's Career is over. Now as far as getting Verbra the question is Can we win now? If we can we need to sign him and get the best line possible. If we cant The dont and get a good top 10 pick next year.

:brickwall Why the fascination with Turley? At his size now we'd be better off putting Norris at LT than Turley.

If I had to pick between the two then I'd take Verba at the right price. He'd at least be able to play the position and provide some depth as opposed to Turley who wants to play DE now.

I guess an explanation of why a 30 year guy with a bad back, trying to switch positions and who needs to gain weight is needed on this board also.

Who does Turley think he is, Eric Crouch?
Anyways, we take neither, I mean if Pitts can control the false starts and improve @ LT with a little hunger and fire in 'em then I think we'll be alright. Maybe even he'll get to the point where soloidifies himself and we can look at other positions in next years draft (quick pinch me I'm dreaming). I'm kidding Chester. Drew Brees fought off a #4 overall pick. What I'm saying is that there is a little turmoil in Texans land over the left side but not too much. Hopefully it's jeeuuuust enough to piss one of 'em (Pitts or Wand) off and make fight even harder for the job and be able to keep it thru the season. texanpride
