Univ. of HOUSTON in CUSA Championship this Friday, 12/1...

Anyone else going to the CUSA Championship game at Robertson Stadium this Friday (12/1/06)?

Should be a fun and exciting game... Hopefully the Cougars will win the Championship!

The game starts at 7 pm, but "happy hour" in the Tailgating lot starts as soon as I get out from work :)

We have a big group from work going as soon as the work day is over...

I heard that there are going to be A LOT of festivitites and tailgating.

Hooters is going to be there with WINGS, and Budweiser will be there with BEER!!!!!

Can't beat that!

Looking forward to a Houston win Friday night!

Won't be able to attend but i will be watching from home with the little one.

Eat em' up Coogs!:bananasplit:

Great to see the Coogs playing good ball again !
As one who moved to these parts back in the 80s from the MW, I remember the football teams they had back then who competed nationally and in the
big Bowls in post season.
I wish the team and all of its fans (especially alums), good luck tonight !

Not going but would be interested in any oppinions on Travis Cooley #55 for So. Miss. First time I've seen U of H, looking forward to it. Should be a good game.

Man it seems like Houston is trying to give Southern Miss the game. Terrible call at the end of the half.

I missed the last play of the 1st half. What happened?

Houston had the ball at the 2 yard line and ran a running play with about 20 seconds left on the clock, no timeouts. The running back (I think it was Jackie Battle) didn't get it, but the Southern Miss. players seemed to just stay on top of him, not letting him get back up and run to the line of scrimmage. Should have been a delay of game penalty called all Southern Miss.

Thanks, It is great to hear "Touchdown Houston" !

Does anyone here follow the Coogs close enough to tell us anything about the FS Gulley. That dude can hit and that fumble recovery the broadcasters said that was his 9th TO (INT,FR) on defense this year. Is he worth looking at for us in the draft. Also impressed by Kolb.

He fits our need. in every way.

Also if Kolb doesn't go by the second round he's a steal for some lucky ball club.

Congrats to the Cougars for their 34-20 slaying of Southern Miss, and the conquest of C-USA.

I should've gone to the game.

Or at the very least, stolen cable.

Congrats, Coogs. This was the first chance I've gotten to see UH play this season. I'm impressed.

Can't wait to see how Kolb looks in the combine.

The Coogs are BAAAAACK!!!!

:dance3:

Congratulations - you guys played a great game and didn't let a missed PAT and a bad situation at the end of the half get you down. Very impressive.

It's 1:00 am and I just got back home to Beaumont. WOW! What a game!!!! Packed house at the Rob!!

Felt great running on to the field.

I will sleep good tonight.

GO COOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHOOOSE HOUSE?????????????????
COOOOGS HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Coogs. Great 2nd half. (Shame the Texans can't seem to make half time adjustments like that).

I bought my tickets on Thursday like I said and then made a terrible mistake. I had lunch at Dimassi's and didn't feel right the rest of the day. At around two in the morning I woke up with that "Something's about to come up" feeling and that was it. I've been in bed ever since then. I finally woke up this morning and got a piece of toast down. I didn't even get to watch it on TV. I should have used the Tivo but I didn't even think about it.

I'll go to some games next year. I was sad to have missed this one. It looked like a heck of a win.

Great Win Coogs. It has been a long road for coogs to win a championship game. Coogs were very good team back in SW conference days. I hope this will be a new beginning of winning tradition for them.

That was an absolute blast. Mid 30's, packed house, perfect environment for college football. I was on the S. Miss side in the student section, but it was a sea of red on our side. I do believe we set a record with 31,000+! Congrats on the win, probably my favorite college football game ever.

I was at the game, and it was AWESOME!!!

I got there early for all of the pre-game activities. The tailgating area was a blast... at one of the largest tailgates I have EVER seen, Budweiser was there handing out free beer and Hooters was there with free wings. It was INSANE!!!

The game was great... The crowd was rowdy and loud...

And last, but now least... I GOT TO RUSH THE FIELD WITH ALL OF THE FANS WHEN THE GAME WAS OVER!!!
