My pool on who the Texans should draft resulted in Marshawn Lynch (Hopefully Levi Brown or Hank Balalock can slip down to the 2nd round)....

1. No. An achilles injury is very serious. Arrington may never be the same player.

2. Yes. The guy sounds like a real jack***.

3. I dont think so. Not this year at least.

4. As I've posted many times before, I believe that Woodley is the most underappreciated player in this draft.

5. Bowe is excellent. Russell played on a great team, but he wasnt good just because of his WR's.

Justin Blalock is the best OG prospect I have seen in a few years and if he falls to the 2nd, I pray that we grab him. I'm not that high on Marshawn Lynch but I do believe that he is the 2nd best RB in this draft. I'm not as high as others on Levi Brown but I believe he is worth a top 15 pick.
 
Wouldn't mind picking up Woodley in round 2 if we don't go DE in round 1, obviously. Great pass rusher and like bah said - under appreciated

Marty will still get 3 million or so, I believe, to stay home and do nothing.
 
1. I was surprised that LaVar was released only after 1 season, especially so early in this process. But, the Giants just hired a new GM and I think he was making a statement to his players and the rest of the front office that he is serious about his job. I just think there is something more to his injury than we know. I was more surprised by the release of Carlos Emmons more than LaVar though.

2. I think we are coming into an age in the National Football league where there will be 2 types of coaches. Ones with personal decesions, and one that just listens to whatever the GM or the owner says. We saw it in Dallas with Bill Parcells having to answer to Jerry Jones, and we saw it in Miami where Nick Saban left because he didn't have enough control. Thats still why college coaches like Pete Carroll won't jump to the NFL, because he will never have all the power. The front offices are becoming a war zone for power, and it may tear many more teams apart, the Chargers were just the first case of it.

3. At first when I saw Marty was fired, I immediately thought about Wade Phillips hiring him onto his staff in Dallas. But if I was to guess, I think he will sit this season out and play some golf with Bill Cowher in North Carollina. Remember, he is 66, and I don't know if he will ever get another HC job. He should, but you never know.

4. I think both will be outstanding LBs in the NFL. I thought that Poulzany should have came out last year when his stock was higher, but instead he had a kind of disapointing senior year. I think he still is one of the best LBs in this draft, its just the rise of other players like Patrick Willis that has left him out of the conversation. There was a couple of times I thought LaMar Woodley was the best player on the Michigan defense. He will get drafted in the early 2nd round as a LB-DE tweener who is suitable for the 3-4 defense.

5. LSU probably had the best group of WRs in college football last year. Bowe will be a Mid 1st rounder, and Craig Davis may be the most underated WR in this draft. I think both will have great careers at the next level.

2. not al davis but something lower...atleast al davis has won championships all be it 30 years ago...aj smith has won nothing and will continue to win nothing if he can't learn to work with high class guys like marty...it's obvious by the players reaction to this firing that aj smith is becoming the next jerry jones

3. not this year but next year i'm sure he can...along with dan reeves

4. because neither of them had a good senior bowl outting...while i can say the texans did interview paul posluszny and some mocks have him falling to us in round 2...i do not see him in a texans uni which is kinda sad...would love to see him and ryans teaming up

5. dwayne bowe is almost a stud...he reminds me a lot of t.o. in the sense he'll make amazing catches and has the physical ability to almost calvin johnson like but he has mental lapses that prevent that...the other receivers are like the a lot of the other receivers in this years draft...good size...average speed...average hands...the ones who have the mental toughness to come out on top will surprise some people

No, apart from the injury, he's not percieved as coachable.

AJ Smith will be fired after the draft and the owner fired Marty over the disputes with Smith.

At his age, he'll have to take a job as an assistant or coordinator.

4. How come no one's talking about Paul Poulanzy or LaMar Woodley?

Juniors are more popular.

5. How are LSU's WRs, isn't that the reason JaMarcus Russels is so good?

It's a question that applies to many QBs, but it's Russel's athleticism that makes him so appealing.
 
There is NO way Levi Brown falls to the 2nd round! He is pretty much gonna go in the top 15-20. He is the 2nd best LT in the draft that is tackle weak.

1. Nope. I dont thnik he'll have the same athletic ability...

2. He's not the owner, so anything he does has to go through ownership. The question is, "Is their current ownership becoming Al Davis type?"...

3. Somebody will pay big $$$ for him next year....

4. I would think its because they're not considered elite prospects. It does'nt mean they're terrible...
