UH Game

Sideline

Veteran
Another thread on my trip to Houston, I noticed today that the University of Houston are at home the weekend that I am in Houston to Colorado State. i was looking at purchasing some tickets however should I buy them they would not get over to England in time for me for when I fly out.

Is it possible to get tickets on game day or do they sell out? Also does anybody know if it is possible to buy online and then collect the tickets on gameday?

You'll be fine. I don't think the Coogs have sold out in quite some time. In fact, the Coogs were in danger of losing their division I status because we've been struggling to meet the NCAA requirement of having an average of 20k fans a game per season and this factors in how the students of UH gets into the games for FREE with their ID.

You should be able to get some tickets. It's pretty easy.

The last game at Robertson was a sell-out.
But you will have no problems getting tickets for the Colorado St. game.

Come out to the game, it's a great atmosphere at Robertson.

Great, you sober up, and then you get high! Way to go! :splits:

CSU night game, then Colts day game.
Hmmm, I'll have to think what I want to do.
(Wish I can be a stupid college student again so I don't have to think, LOL!)

I have a little recap on the Oregon game on another board.
I'll find and post it for those who did not follow the game.
Man, it was a tough loss!

The key 76 is to stay drunk from Saturday night all the way through Sunday's victory....

*Disclaimer - please drink responsibly. If you drink do not drive*

Man, it could have been a totally different game if we didn't make so many mistakes.

We had the ball for almost 33 mins.
We outgained them 545 yds to 473
We had 30 1st downs to theirs 22.

But:
We were panalized 11 times as opposed to 5 for the Ducks.
We overthrew a few times and the receivers dropped a few balls.
We committed 5 turnovers to zero for them.
(3 of them in the redzone.)

We punted 3 times and netted 25.7 yds
they punted 5 times and netted 44.2 yds
(please send Chad Stanley back to college, we'll take him.)

Alridge rushed for 205 yds and caught 3 passes for 88 yds.
He had a TD each, rushing and receiving.
But he fumbled once in their redzone.
He also fumbled close to our goal line which resulted in a Duck's TD.

We had a punt blocked, giving the Ducks posession at our 6 yd line and consequentlly another TD.

One time, we failed to score in 4 downs from their 6 yd line.
What an eventful game!

First, Autzen (sp) Stadium is a tough, tough place to play.

Second, while Oregon is not a top 20/25 team, they would be in that next tier of teams.

Last, reminds you that no matter how good of a season UH had last year, or will have this year, its still a ways - away... It will happen, but its not going to happen overnight.

I understand that we need to be able to recruite better players to get to the next level (top 40) consistently.

I just wish that we have a bit more luck against the bigger conferences.
We did well against Okl. St. last year, but we could have beaten the Canes as well. That 1 point loss certainly stunk.

And then our injury list looks almost like the Texans' otherwise I believe we could have had a great season last year that finally put us on the map again so we can have a better chance at recruiting, what I'm saying.

The Miami game was a tough pill to swallow last year. That game should have been won, especially with how bad Miami was then. I went to the OSU game last year and it was great.

But a lot of positives came out of last year - the Conference Championship notwithstanding and a rather impressive showing in a mid-level bowl game. Even the pub that Kolb gets in Philly is positive for UH.

Yes, I went on at least 4-5 different Eagles' MB. They are warming to him now, unlike when the draft was first announced. Looks like Reid has been putting him on a crash course.

Biren Ealy makes the Titans' roster and Willie Gaston makes the ravens' PS.
Anybody heard about the other guys?

Too bad, Jackie Battle suffered a sprained ankle and was cut early by the Cowboys. I don't want him on their squad anyway. But really, he's not at all polished being converted to RB from FB. And he was never really asked to catch the ball with Alridge in tow.

I hope he takes the time to learn to catch the ball out of the backfield, otherwise I don't think the NFL will take him, no matter that he runs 4.4 in the 40 at 230lbs plus.

I know that they booed when they called Kevin's name, but let's put this in perspective. They booed Donovan McNabb when he was drafted, because they wanted Ricky "the Lettuce Head" Williams.. Hell, they booed freakin' Santa Claus. But YES, it is nice to see them warming up to him now..

Everything happens for a reason. Maybe Jackie Battle winds up on someone else's roster - since the gurls cut him..

I am not comparing Battle to Earl, but Earl couldn't catch either.................................... I'm just sayin'!!

I think he will do well with teams running more out of the shotgun formation. The boy can run north south for sure, but you don't ask a truck to have a second gear.

Either you have the truck balling trough the wall, or you give it a tiny moment and then it can rampage anywhere it feels like. I feel Gado is kinda similar, to use him in the same manner as Dayne is a sin if you ask me, but perhaps I don't know enough about the game.

Sorted it out now, I have purchased my tickets to the game and selected the pick up option when you select delivery method so that means I can go pick them up from the ticket office when I get to Houston.

CANT WAIT!!!

You'll have a great time. Robertson Stadium is a great place to watch a football game.
