It's freakin' pathetic that the NFL made this issue about "integrity of the game", yet they do absolutely NOTHING when other teams might be in violation.
The truth is that it was a witch hunt and now the NFL doesn't have the balls or honor to admit that the Ideal Gas Law does show that ball pressure is actually influenced by temperature changes. They refuse to release the accumulated data that they have collected for two seasons regarding random tests of game balls, even though they said this information would be released to the public. They are hiding it because it reveals their glaring mistakes.

The Tom Brady situation was really strange though. There were ball boys involved, and he refused to simply comply with the initial NFL investigation. That to me is what made Roger Goodell go after him so hard. And I can't say I wouldn't have done the same in Goodell's shoes.
Tom Brady went so far as to "refuse to hand over his cell phone records" and he also deleted all information on his cell phone (hiding away any wrongdoing). He even threw it away and didn't let anybody see the communication he was having with his ball boys.
It's not like anybody on the Steelers is acting shady and refusing to hide or tamper with evidence. Let alone a famous superstar, Super Bowl caliber quarterback like Ben Roethlisberger.
I don't think Roger Goodell owes Tom Brady an apology. More like the other way around. Had Brady just cooperated with the investigation in the first place, perhaps he'd have seen a reduced suspension to two games (not four), and the embarrassing deflate-gate situation wouldn't have lingered for a couple of years.

Why should anyone be forced to handover their private cell phone? What if he and Giselle sext each other every weekend, and Brady didn't want someone snooping through his private business? Emphasis on the private.

Fair enough, but it was an investigation that the NFL had to explore. I just don't agree that Roger Goodell owes Tom Brady an apology. Brady brought all of that mess on himself by being shady and not complying with the initial investigation. Tom Brady could have handled that entire situation a lot better. Maybe one day when he's old and retired he'll open up more about it and have some regrets.

Brady didn't do anything shady. He just didn't hand over this phone for something they had no business asking for or blaming him for in the first place. They just chose him as the culprit just because...
Nothing else. Dude was completely accused based on his position and nothing else. Brady's reputation before that was squeaky clean with zero infractions to accuse him like that.

As if any of us are surprised. Lol! It is pretty much a compliment at this point that the Patriots and Brady especially were so dominant that the league had to frame them and punish them unfairly and even suspend their best player. The rest of the owners and the commish had to go outside of the ways that the league conducts business to create a narrative just so they could punish them even without evidence. Now they're scattering like roaches to avoid having to address this same thing with the Steelers. I wasn't surprised at all, and even expected it once I heard about it. The NFL had better knock off all of this corruption that keeps feeding into so many situations. They've got enough bad press from the ridiculousness that was Deflategate and now the constant attacks at the sport behind brain trauma. They can't keep affording so much bad press with their ratings decreasing where it appears that they are being maliciously bias and unfair.
They've been lucky that most NFL fans hate the Patriots and are total frauds when it comes to fairness until it effects their own teams. Most fans didn't care about how fraud Deflategate was because they were sick to death of losing to the Patriots. You didn't hear any of those fans bringing up the Vikings heating up balls on the sidelines and getting a minor fine for it. Every time I bring it up fans aren't even aware of it, and when they become aware they don't even care. That is two situations now where the league totally ignored similar situations that they framed on the Patriots now.

God'ell is a liar and a hypocrite. The games popularity will continue to fall along with TV ratings as long as he remains commish. Fans can see the deflategate/bountygate/Ray Rice etc... and tell that God'ell/the NFL is crooked.

I agree with you about Goodell. Dan Patrick and Mike Florio had a very interesting conversation about the early stages of 'deflate-gate' last week, and they understood that the NFL was originally just going to investigate and maybe just fine the Patriots. Not for deflating the footballs, but rather for allowing their equipment guys to not strictly follow protocol. It was other owners, perhaps out of jealousy, that really pushed Goodell to go after the Patriots.
They also mentioned that Brady did cooperate. He never destroyed his phone and turned over records and even allow then league to work directly with the phone company to retrieve his records. The NFL never followed up on it.

Couple the above with the fact that the league did absolutely NOTHING to investigate the Steelers for the exact same thing, and I think it is rather obvious what happened here.
I'd really like to see the accumulated data that the NFL has been recording about ball pressure since then. They have now said the information will not be released to the public, which is a reverse of their previously stated position. Looks to me like the information will reveal something that they do not want to be seen.

What are you his "White Knight?" You didn't follow anything or you could have thrown out his statements and shown where any of what was suggested was false. Otherwise you're just here rambling random stuff that has zero substance to it. If you want to jump in the pool, then swim instead of just splashing water because you want to ride the guy's jock and aren't confident in him defending his positions to defend Goodell.
