I used to get both Austin and San Antonio stations when I was in San Marcos. Is that not the case any more or maybe you don't have cable?
 
I think that the bigger factor is that it's Vince Young. As you well know it's still an issue amongst the fan-base, and after over a year of hearing about it some people's nerve's on the subject are worn out; and hence the reaction you are getting.

I don't think it would be as big a deal if it was any other jersey, with the exception of Reggie Bush.

that's the thing....no one would be bitter if you showed up with a John Elway jersey on, but because it's VY and because we stupidly passed on him people get angry at those who like him....I just don't understand it, because Vince has done nothing to deserve hate from anyone in Houston....

I'm thinking we might get the SA station. My friend said it was on here but I was at the game so I couldn't tell. Last year neither SA or Austin would show the games so I didn't have any other options...but I might be alright for now.

That said....KEYE still sucks.

Sorry but we did not "stupidly" pass on him. He wasn't the ideal QB to run Coach Kubes offense. We got the man that can run that offense now.

My deal is that people are taking out their disdain for the upper management decision against the team/fans. I'm kind of tired of the "I told you so" mentality that gives people so much satisfaction. People that are from Houston loved seeing the team lose to Vince...and it just pissed me off beyond anything.

Peoples excuse is that we don't have any history - Well, what do you expect with a new team? This is our moment to make the ****ing history, but people want the storyline to be how a bunch of people cared more about Vince Young than the Houston Texans - so much that they would back the team that bailed on Houston years ago.

It's your opinion that we "stupidly" passed on him. And I don't think the hate would be directed at Vince presonnaly (atleast not by most), but on gameday he is the enemy and if you are wearing his jersey you are the enemy as well. Vy is an issue that divided the fan-base, and wearing a VY jersey to a Texans game is the equivilant of picking a scab.

You have your belief about vy's greatness and I have a different opinion. he is a very good athlete not a QB yet. when he learns to pass then I will say he is a true leader. I love how people say he is just a winner, yet give no credit to the 60 yard field goal last year, I mean it is not like that is a chip shot or anything. All the thing qubert did to help them win vy gets credit for his greatness because he spurred qubert on to have KR/PR for touchdowns and Ints for touchdowns. people get more and more delusional over vy each and every day.


I think it is a serious joke to think a rival school would be all over a player from another school. I am sure while vy was in high school parents all over houston were saying that there son played football but he is no vy. vy is a god and only hope my son gets a chance to sniff his jock or get a little t-bagged at some point.

It's not that simple, surly you can uinderstand that; and legend is a bit much at this point.

And another question did you wear a Portland 22 jersey as a kid, how bout a Ryan Rangers jersey, you purchased a Crawford Devil Rays authetic yet, a Brees Siants jersey (who by the way has a much better pro career then VY), you pre order that McGuffie Michigan jersey?

a legend for the city?...nah I think that's accurated....Andre Ware never did anything in the NFL, but he's still considered a Houston Legend

So you don't think that playing for a university that about half the state hates factors in at all? Nor that he now plays for the team that once played in Houston, and left ripping the hearts out of alot of people? Nor that the owner of said team is one of the most hated sports figures in the city? Nor that for nearly four solid months all that was talked about on sports radio was that the Texans HAD to draft VY? You think that none of that factors in to why people are giving you such a hard time about wearing a VY jersey to a f'n Texans home game? That we are still talking about it over a year later?

I wished I lived in a world as simple as yours.

I have no problems with people who hold ill feelings towards Bud Adams, but I do have a problem with people who get mad over someone wearing a jersey of a hometown legend who always reps his home town, begged to come here, and is constantly always giving back to the city...if anything you should be mad at our own organization for that.

Mad at them for what? For moving in what they think is the best direction? Might it have been a mistake, but if you listen/read to anybody outside of Houston the mistake was not taking Reggie not Bush. But then again that opinion is slowly turning to the general consensus that we made the right call with Mario. For not listening to the fans? I'm sorry but I'll never get mad at any GM for NOT listening to the fans.

I'm not saying supporting VY is and awful thing, he seems to be a good kid and might be a great football player; but wearing his jersey to a Texans home game speaks more about the fact that you are loyal to VY and not the Texans. And if that is the case why not go ahead and become a Titans fan? Or why not go with the UT #10 jersey?

See I have a problem with people who feel like they're turning their back on a team just because they get mad at the GM....face it people are angry because they know the Texans made a mistake and for that reason you shouldn't hold that against the player, but rather against the stupid ass management.

If it wasn't for Pac and Chris Brown, VY's vaunted win total would be about as pathtetic as Carr's.

What's keeping you from being a Titans fan? It isn't loyalty to your hometown team, that's for sure. Why not jsut follow the rest of the sheep to VY land?

I've watch Lienart play plenty and there are still a lot of things he has to work on also..he never seemed more "nfl ready" than Vince
