Try Buchanon at safety.

Ryan

THIS YEAR
WTH, you might as well try buchanon at safety and move Marcus Coleman back to CB where he belongs.

P Buc cant tackle to save his life and there was a reason why Coleman was removed from being a conerback, Dumb move IMO.

the Texans cant get any worse this year so you have to try different things so by next year you will know what to do.

I know you don't put a weak tackling cornerback at safety and you dont put a weak safety back at cornerback. Not only that, these guys wont play next year for us, so if you do anything, you put the younger guys in and see what you got with them, not two terrible DB's.

Wells should be the starting runningback, DD is terrible in my opinion.

We won't have this discussion when the "Commander-in-Chief" Reggie Bush comes on board. Then Wells can be the 2 back. That would be quite interesting!

Imagine having two running backs that have fire in their runs......Hmmm.....just for thought, it would be sweet.

My bad, P Buc-no, Coleman-no, Earl-yes, C.C. Brown-yes.
This is what I believe we should do with the safeties for the rest of the season if you wanna see what these guys can do for next season.
Earl hits like fire, and C.C. has been there most of the season anyway.

Good gosh. I don't like to step on folks toes but pleasssse KAISER if you find that icon share it with me.

KAISER did you know your b-day is the day before mine? Shameless plug for Tauruses. lol :texflag:

Have you seen pb play? I want someone that will tatoo you at safety. You have to have someone who's likes to hit.

It wouldn't be much of an upgrade if at all. If anything, I think it would just cause a lot of confusion. Both of these players suck, so you might as well leave them at the position that they understand.

Buchanon likes to play zones and it could be good to have him as a ball-hawking FS like Ed Reed, but he is small, doesn't tackle very well at all, and is on IR so he can't play the rest of the year anyways.

Buchanon is just very uninspiring to watch. Now that he is hurt it is a mute point.
We need a Hitman at FS and PB ain't no Hitman!!!

Exactly.

Didn't make an avatar, but found this on a GIS for dying brain:

It might be a result of the thread, or maybe an after effect of the Texans-KC tailgate.:texflag:

That's nutty. Buchanon can't tackle and thats the main job of a safety. Coleman got moved to safety because he is now too slow for corner. I wouldn't have either of them playing.

Coleman just seems to be playing uninspired football. He doesnt seem to care anymore. Maybe its that he's older and tired of playing for loosing teams, maybe he's lost a step or maybe it's both. Whatever it is it's obvious he's lost the fire he had last year. The Texans are still dealing with the same problems that they were dealing with their first year in the league. I'd take Coleman over Matt Stevens anyday but this is the ONLY team that Coleman would be starting for.

Zeplin,

I have to disagree. PBUC is a HITMAN. He likes to get HIT....MAAAAN.

Yea I'm votingt his worst thread ever.

Please never mention him and ed reed in the same thread again.

No offense to the thread starter but i'd rather watch :pigfly:

No. Coleman was the exact same type of player at CB as Buchanon, and I tend to think that part of the reason he ran up his personal INT count as he did was because opposing teams refused to throw at Aaron Glenn (who, despite being as "old" as he is, is still the best cover corner in the NFL).

As much as I had faith in Hoke's ability to bring out the potential in PB, he has been a disappointment. I say give him time to heal and another season to turn it around, but replacing one really bad tackler with another at FS is hardly an improvement.

I'm going to have to diasgree on this statement. Glenn is definitely getting old, and while he can still cover a guy pretty well he is slowing down and is definitely not the best cover corner in the league. I'd still take him over Buchanon any day though.

Like a good car wreck, you have to stop and look even though you know you shouldn't. This thread be the same theory. When I saw the major idea of the thread....I laughed and knew I shouldn't click. But I did.

:tv:

Could it be but PBUC bucked under the first year jitters of being in a new place? Maybe he just needs time to heal and come back next season. He could be wonderful. (with a new staff).

Or am I just having wishful thikning?

Wishful thinking, but here's one to think about: P Buc's favorite player is Deion Sanders, who was one of the best cover corners the game has ever seen, but the knock on him was he couldn't tackle to save the people in the church at his sermon. P Buc has said numerous times that he wants to be just like Deion, thats probably why he just rolls on the ground instead of tackling. Why am I talking about this, I need help. Can someone destroy this thread?:brickwall

So this is what Dom writes down during the game?:tomato:

I was thinking since Buchanon is not a very good defensive player and does not like to hit or tackle, why not switch him to offense and work him as a WR during the off-season? He couldn't be worse than Bradford. He still has potential to be a gamebreaker. I think he would be better on the offensive side of the ball.

Thoughts??

This thread has more lives than Capers and staff.

I know my bad, I started thinking about Buchanon as a WR and instead of starting another bad thread to bring this one back to life.:)
