Trimming the Fat - 2015 FA's & Cap Casualties

No it's not. You don't need to contemplate running your car into a redwood to know it is stupid.

We aren't pulling a Walker trade for him so you can trade down 35 times and we end up with 100 draft picks.

Hypothetically you would trust Rick Smith to make those trades and picks?

It's not about trust.
It's about whether the trade makes any sense.

In today's QB-centric NFL, who trades for RBs any more? I think the last "big" trade for a RB was when the Colts gave up a first for Trent Richardson. And you might say that was a waste because the Colts are getting more out of Ahmad Bradshaw who they picked off the street.

And with Foster's injury history, what do you think any team is going to give for him?

So unless the Colts want to be suckers again, who would be the trading partner.

The big time RB is starting to go away. Sure there are the few remaining studs. But teams are learning that you can draft a couple of RB's in the mid rounds and go with a 2 or 3 headed monster. See Cincy, Cleveland, Denver, New England etc. And just keep drafting mid round RB's every 3 years to avoid overpaying for 1 RB. I'd love to keep drafting an "alfred blue" every 2 or 3 years.
