Me too. How long will he last?
Trent Murphy = Ryan Kerrigan
They are similar in work ethic, how they approach the game, their intelligence, showing good techniques and pad leverage.
I went back to watch a few of Kerrigan's college game, and he might have been a hair more explosive, while Murphy is more scheme diversed.
Kerrigan played strictly as a DE with his hand down while Murphy looks comfortable both as a 34 OLB and a 43 DE.
It's still early in the process, but I'm thinking Murphy will rise to mid - to - not too late first; somewhere between Cushing and Matthews.
At the moment, I'm inclined to trade back to get Murphy and perhaps Louis Nix.
That is if Nix checks out later in the process (I always feel uneasy about a big guy in the first, and Nix doesn't look quite BJ Raji.)
It might not be doable unless both guys are available after the 20th pick.
We might have to put our second pick into play as well to make the maneuver and it's not easy to find trading partner.
But then, who knows, some team might just want to pay crazily for the top pickz
