Trade Time!!

I wish we could trade Ragone for Chris Simms. Yall might hate me for that now, oh well. Ragone might be doing good in NFL Europe, but that differnt from NFL. Any or agree, or disagree(theres gonna be alot of those). :brickwall :homer:

Why would they trade someone they have invested heavily in, both from a financial, as well as, training perspective, for someone with whom they would be starting all over again from scratch.....just at the point where it looks like the investments might actually pay some dividends? :brickwall

Yea, thats true, but we don't have enough time for him to develop him to a Carr. If Ragone gets as good as Carr, Carr will be gone. And plus, Simms has at least one win under his belt.

well in a couple of years...Detroit won't be able to afford Rogers,Roy williams, and Mike Williams... well well scoop up ole Roy :heh: and say "thanks for developing him for us :heh:

I can dream right?

In checkers?
haha :highfive: ... that was good... true, ragone likely wont be as good as carr, what while ragone improves, carr is just going to stay put and not develope either, ragone is a solid backup, and possible trade bait

I would rather have Applewhite

I hope Ragone continues to develope.. Up to his Junior year he had stats compared to Drew Henson.. who possibly would have been picked instead of Carr had he not opted for Baseball..
Ragone will either make a good backup or we get a 1st or 2nd rounder out of him :heh: I really went out on a limb on that one

ragone is a FA this year, and he scares me as one of the few players that might actually leave, im sure there are going to be teams out there looking for a quality backup, or starter.. and if ragone stays 3rd on the depth chart this year, he might be on his way out next year.... if he does stay, then he makes very good trade bait, i doubt we would get a 1st rounder for him, at most a second

very true.. I was dreaming of a rob johnson trade if there were some suckers out there :heh:
Personally I think we will be active in trying to keep Ragone, because either caper or casserly stated at one time.. they drafted him so that if Carr went down..they could put ragone in and not have to change their offensive gameplan
unfortuantly due to line woes ..we haven't seen what gameplan we are trying to do

as of right now, our offensive game plan is, look for andre, and if he is not open.. get on two knees and pray that david doesnt get hurt

If I had to pick our gameplan.

run up the middle
2nd down.. look to aj..not open...dump to dd
3rd ...draw.
4th punt

of course I am joking :woot2

Simms was the most abused Longhorn. They guy had one epicly bad game (Big 12 game against Colorado). I blame his two OU losses on bad coaching. Ironically, those are our two closest games to them over the past 5 years. They hogtied him in those games. They made the Texan's offense look like that of the St. Louis Rams, they went so conservative against OU.

The only game in his career where I walked away cursing his name was that 4 turnover one against Colorado (in one half mind you). He has talent. I think the Bucs need to start him and let him do his thing. Sure he will lead the league in INT's returned of a TD, but he will throw for a hell of a lot of yards and get them some wins too.

ive always hated chris simms. just seemed like one of those guys that had a good father, so everyone was all hyped that he'd be better. i think he would be lucky to even come close to his father as a QB and thats not saying much. as for him being a former longhorn, he was probably the most hated UT player ever. the guy even got death threats from fans. if we were to get a longhorn on the team, we'd at least have to get someone the fans liked.

Now that's some funny ish ya'll put down. I agree sadly enough.

Could anyone even figure out Palmer's gameplan in Cleveland?

I mean I got all excited off the BOMB first play out and EVER since....
