Top 50 UDFA's = NFL Draft Countdown

Erin Henderson is going to looked at by a lot of teams...

Texans should look at Darrell Robertson, Ali Highsmith, Tommy Blake, & Mike Dragosavich

How bout this guy:

Strengths:
Has a solid frame...Strong, tough and powerful...Has an excellent motor...Quick off the ball...Pretty good tackler...Great bull rusher..Does a nice job versus the run...A team leader...Productive..Has a lot of experience against high-quality competition.

Weaknesses:
Does not have prototypical size...Timed speed is just average...Not very explosive and he lacks a burst...Pass rush repertoire is limited...Marginal instincts...Will have some trouble disengaging from blocks...He probably doesn't have a ton of upside.

Notes:
Was a four-year starter in the SEC...Burst onto the scene with a terrific freshman campaign and after struggling a little the next two years enjoyed the best season of his career as a senior..The type who does everything relatively well but nothing great..May be best suited for a 3-4 if he can bulk up..Profiles as more of a backup.

Wallace Gilberry out of Alabama. He had 80 tackle , 27 TFL, and 10 sacks last year(21 sacks career total).

also, FYI, here's the Jaguars signings:

Jaguars QB Paul Smith (Tulsa)
Jaguars WR Adam Bishop (Nevada)
Jaguars DE Alex Boston (Florida State)
Jaguars TE Chris Brown (Tennessee)
Jaguars WR Rudy Burgess (Arizona State)
Jaguars FB Anthony Catrone (Maine)
Jaguars WR Clyde Edwards (Grambling)
Jaguars CB Isaiah Gardner (Maryland)
Jaguars CB Michael Grant (Arkansas)
Jaguars WR Jeron Harvey (Houston)
Jaguars DT Theo Horrocks (Vanderbilt)
Jaguars OL Drew Miller (Florida)
Jaguars LB Lamar Myles (Louisville)
Jaguars CB Brian Witherspoon (Stillman)

I'm thinking Griffin would be good to bring in at the Safety spot.

Griffin has signed with the Vikings.

Everyone made a big deal of it when Griffin ran a 4.71 at the combine, but he turned in a 4.51 at his pro day & apparently nobody but Minnesota saw it.

I am sure everyone saw it but combined witht the game tape he equals a UDFA. I didnt think he was all that great in the fisrt place so I am not at all suprised he fell out of the draft.

I'm not sure that he is that good either.

But he improved TREMENDOUSLY between his jr & sr seasons at UT, so I thought that someone might take a chance on him in the 7th.

Well, its better for guys in a way to be UDFA's really rather than drafted in the 7th, that way you can kind of choose where you want to go. He surely had plenty of interest as he is a guy with some talent coming out of a big school.

Sorry to bring an old thread back, but I didn't want to start a new thread inquiring about a kicker.

I'm a big Red Raider fan and their kicker Alex Trlica was from my home town Friendswood. I thought he'd surely get a looksee from some teams as a UDFA. Has anyone heard anything about him being picked up or looked at?

Texans should sign anybody they can who has the potential to be an edge-rusher in the NFL. That's the one thing about their Draft that surprises me,
they didn't take a pass-rusher even very late with their 6th & 7th. But apparently nobody really impressed them that much because this remains a
very big need ?

It actually looked to me like the Texans didn't think any of those guys out there were worth a pick. I'd love to see the Texan's board and be able to ask why some guys were obviously not on it at all.
