Andre lost a step. We don't want him.

Arian is injury prone. missed dang near a whole season since O'b has been here. Don't want him.

Tony Romo has missed the majority of the last two seasons due to injury & y'all think we should move heaven & he'll to get him.

trade our 1st & 4th to get him, draft OL early, then trade our 2018 draft to get Romo's replacement.

brilliant
Just goes to show how disappointing Osweiler has been.

If he had been playing even half-way decently, maneuvering to get Romo wouldn't be a passing thought

Is it really "out of whack" to expect the shiny new, 6'-7" QB with the (reportedly) strong arm to statistically perform better than the guy he replaced?

With the playcalling being historically inept and entire new offensive line and wr's, yeah

Over the next seven games? Not at all. over his first nine games in this offense, with a new Center, RG, & a sub at LT, a new RB, two rookie WRs & George Godsey actually having to mentor a young QB for the very first time... not so much.

I'm probably more in line with your thinking than it appears, especially with respect to the peculiar play-calling. And it wasn't too long ago that folks were pointing to how O'Brien got the best out of Fitzy and Hoyer. I'm just befuddled that he (and Godsey) haven't been able to do the same with Osweiler.

The shame here is that os is bad - but not so bad he demands immediate replacement. The team's investment in him will stretch out his playing time into next season. Again, we'll be adrift without a qb in 2017.

Before anyone goes off about how we have a winning record and are quite likely to win the south with oz - save it. We are a playoff contender, not a suberbowl contender. We are winning inspite of oz, not because of him. And should we make the playoffs some team will kc us like last year. Our division has sucked early on allowing us our position. Titans are looking up and comming. The jags need only a good coach with their talent and indy still has luck. Other teams are closing the gap while we're bogged down in quarterback purgatory.

In the meantime, savage will sit in the shadows. Im not suggesting he is the answer. What i am demanding is that we see him in blowouts this year and next before his contract is up. If we let him go without knowing what he is, the oz disaster we're watching will be twice the failure.

Oh, and no to romo. HELL NO.

go back & watch the Jags game. there were plays where we had two or three receivers in the same spot. Other times when they all turned & squared in front of the defense (the defense was playing zone). then remember this is an offense where the QB & the receivers need to see the same thing.

sure, Osweiler was probably wrong several times... then his receivers were probably "wrong" a few times, then his protection was probably wrong a few times as well.

my point, is I don't know how off the play calling is or how often someone on the field read something wrong.

we were probably pretty close to getting on the same page, then Fuller got hurt, then Jalen got hurt... finally got Braxton back.... & let's throw Akeem Hunt out there ad a WR.

Who cares? It's not your or my money.
Our defense is set - no need to spend more there.
Just need good QB play and an olineman.
A chance at some great play from our team to cheer for - priceless.

If this were the MLB I would agree with you but a hard salary cap makes this a no sell for me. Can't ding your cap for $20mil+ at the QB spot and only have bad or broken as your only options.

While I agree, the Texans *are* a bad team.
I don't understand my friend. The Texans will be 7-3 if they defeat the Raiders on Monday Night. Since when is 7-3 considered a bad team? That's pretty good through 10 games by any standard. Especially when you consider we're doing all of this with our best player injured for the season. I'd never have guessed we'd be this good, record wise, without J.J. Watt.

Sure, we may not be a sexy team to watch and our young and inexperienced offense will frustrate all of us. Brock Oswelier even admits and will say himself he has to play a lot better. We understand that. But they're getting better and we're still winning games. I'd rather have an ugly win over a pretty loss. Stats are for losers. All I want to focus on are the wins.

When you watch the team, they're trash. It doesn't matter about stats. They're trash.

We got Bill O'Brien and all new everything because we were sick of empty records and that's what you and many others are apparently happy with. An empty record. This team has looked like total ass for all but about five quarters (Detroit was ok, first quarter against Jacksonville) out of 9 games this season. That's not sustainable.

They're not just ugly wins. They're fraudulent wins. Unless you're content with getting raped by any actual good team either in the regular season or the playoffs like last year. So long as the record looks good right?

And actually, I don't criticize this team because of Brock Osweiler. I'm not "confusing QB for team." I don't think the team looks that bad because of him. I actually think he has potential that's been completely wasted. Brock Osweiler is, quite frankly, the least of this team's worries.

Whatever, I don't even think I should post anymore. I'm sick of everyone rehashing the same crap in every post in every thread. Means nothing anymore.

TR has conceded the starting QB job to Dak Prescott.
This opens up the possibility for a trade.

Yes - let the fun begin

What is he worth?

Not what he'll be asking for should this trade "happen"

To a struggling franchise desperate for good veteran QB play, one would have to think at least a first round pick.

rotflmao

Yes, he is 37 years old and has certain injury issues but we would still have Osweiler as his primary backup.

And you wanted to see Dallas get a first rd pick for him?

If you say that Dallas wouldn't trade their backup, then we can sweeten the deal by offering the guy Jerruh admires so much - Brandon Weedon, into the deal.

lmao

If this is not enough, I would additionally offer a fourth or even third.

what happened to the first rd pick you were offering?

Such a trade will admit the Osweiler trade was a lemon, but he could sit and learn behind Romo and retake the reins when Romo calls it quits or if Romo gets injured.

Swapping a lemon for a lemon please tell me this trade deal is for real?

In the meantime you restructure Osweiler's contract.

Romo's contract will require more than 1 restructure

I ain't no capologist or trade expert, that is the GM's job - surely he (they) could make such a trade happen?

crossing fingers please do make it happen

Romo may not be elite, but he is better than anything we have had in here with the exception of best Schaub.

true

We would not have to upgrade our D -

interesting

we get JJ and Kevin Johnson back next season so we use our remaining picks to nab the best Olineman available even if it means moving up.

betting the farm eh?

We have the nucleus for a good team - I am certain some veteran quality QB play and leadership will lift this team to the next level to at least compete with the best.

Romo as much as I like him is not your answer (can't believe I just said that)

The window is shortening for opportunities for the team as currently structured.

Window slammed shut you get Romo

We would have a legitimate QB and be legit contenders.

2 playoff wins yep real legit

I'm in - make it happen Rick.

Fingers crossed

For the ******* Love of Unsanitary Promiscuous Women NO. Still no from when Seegara thought it was a good idea, still no now. The guy is 37 years old, and badly injured every season. Even before he started getting injuries he was a choke artist.

NO. Last time. NO.

Even before he started getting injuries he was a choke artist.

Let me stop you right there..He's not a choke artist as you and the media portray him be, He is the
unfortunate victim of ownership stupidity/arrogance. That uses smoke/mirrors to lure idiots into the
seats every year while he secretly screws it up but still rakes in the dough

Really, because as much as I loathe the Cowboys they've for the most part had at least a good team for the last decade, and finally a really really good team once they addressed their Oline. The common factor holding them back? Tony Friggen Romo. And the frustrating thing for you guys? He could play really well, he just kept screwing up at very important moments (Hello playoffs?).His stupidity and arrogance may be the root cause for him choking, still doesn't change the fact that he's choked away playoff wins.

Edit: Well and Jerry Jones as a common factor...
