I was thinking the same thing. On top of that i was thinking this may have been exactly what Cj needed. Hopefully he's set on having fun for the next 4 weeks.I know the backups have been out there, but the team is having great fun today !

I think they're looking at that Sanders kid.Titans will be in the QB market this offseason
I’m hope so. I personally don’t see what all the fuss is about.I think they're looking at that Sanders kid.

Alright Bud Jr., hang up the Oilers Jersey middle finger to Houston you sad little toad of a woman.
So I am wrong about what I said? I probably am today because I have nothing to go on today. My local CBS affiliate didn't broadcast the Texans game today but based on post on here it appears we didn't look all that impressive. That is par for the course for quite a few games now.Unreal. Can't make this sht up.
That is good then. I figured we would needlessly play our starters.Huh. We’re playing our backups lol
The Texans played their offensive skill players for 1 series. The tAcks got some garbage time yards on some circus catches and an incredibly lucky TD pass that was just about to be intercepted. That play was reminiscent of the Texans knocking down a Hail Mary pass against the Jags, only to have it caught for a TD.So I am wrong about what I said? Tbf, they are two different running styles - DP is an out and out bull while JM is also a bull but has some great cuts in his repertoire.Because Mixon has the vision to make something out of nothing while Pierce makes nothing out of nothing.
I would hope he played well today, the dude can see clear over the OL and defensive front with that “go go gadget neck” he has..,..Mills inaccuracy made itself known with that slant to Diantae in the EZ, and the long toss down the right sideline. Got bailed out with the PI.
That said, even with those bouts of inaccuracy, that was arguably the best I have seen Mills look. He seemed in control of the offense, went to his 2nd and 3rd reads with success, moved around pretty well when required, and moved the offense successfully for the most part.
B+ half from the backup.

Me either. I don’t think he will be that great. So I hope they take him. I can’t imagine they would pass on Hunter. But we are talking about the Titans.I’m hope so. I personally don’t see what all the fuss is about.
What I found to be most interesting is how little fans in Tennessee still care about the Oilers. That stadium was damn near empty. The Titans organization is garbage and so is their owner. They need to put these Oiler throwbacks on the shelf and worry about playing football.
Why would they care about the Oilers at all? The Oilers never played there, have no history there and no fansWhat I found to be most interesting is how little fans in Tennessee still care about the Oilers. That stadium was damn near empty.
Did he though? They had 273 total yards in the 1st half. 165 of that was the 1st drive and DP’s 92 yard run. 2nd half the Texans had 111 total yards, 36 passing yards. Mills was 2-9 for those 36 yards in the 2nd half. He completed 54.5% of his passes for the game (not very good) and had a passer rating of 71.8, which is also not good. Oh, and they scored 0 points in the 2nd half BTW.
So, yeah, I can see the team as a whole getting a good grade, DP with a career game, Barnett was a beast, but Mills was Mills. He didn’t give it away, but he’s not very good.

That Sanders kid will be a bust in the NFL if he continues to run way behind the LOS trying to play hero ball and gets sacked forcing the offense to convert long yardage downs. I am a Buffs fan and have been since 85' but Shedeur has a serious flaw to fix in order be a better than average Qb in the NFL. He killed early momentum against BYU and the rest is history.I think they're looking at that Sanders kid.
The Adam’s family has disgraced a wonderful tradition for Houston however I love the Toro
But every hillbilly has had Blue Balls
We have him in 2025 at another extremely cheap deal! This is a home run guy for Caserio as is Tim Settle.Give the man a raise
Offensive line cannot block for him. The defense did much better. Why hasn’t Barnett gotten more opportunities to run the ball this season?!
When he did, Pierce did not seem to be able to get through the middle. I think that our offensive line is run blocking a little bit better at the end of the season.Pierce running the way he is today makes me wonder why Slowick didn’t utilize him more with Mixon earlier in the season.
Pierce 176 @9.3 per I think line blocks better.Because Mixon has the vision to make something out of nothing while Pierce makes nothing out of nothing.

Yep, Scruggs replacing Mason and Fisher playing RT was a big reason the run game was successful today.
Russ Yeast thought it was his. If he had caught it, he still probably would not be on the next roster. I felt sorry for him but it did not hurt us.Not going to lie, #18 made an effort and just stole that one. Nobody saw him zipping across.
What do you think about Howard today at left guard?Yep, Scruggs replacing Mason and Fisher playing RT was a big reason the run game was successful today.
He didn't play much, but he's been an upgrade since he moved to LG. He's really helped in the pass pro, not so much in the run game. Unfortunately I don't see a fa out there this off-season that would be much of an upgrade IMHO.What do you think about Howard today at left guard?
I agree 100% And also think that he will be the starting left guard in 2025.He didn't play much, but he's been an upgrade since he moved to LG. There is a FA guard coming off a tibia injury who I'd be willing to go after. Colts right guard Will FriesHe didn't play much, but he's been an upgrade since he moved to LG. Loved Pierce in the Ravens game as well but he took a kneeBarnett looked like an elephant rumbling through the bush while giving a frog a ride on his back.

Unfortunately not. Was so focused on horrific memory, ingrained in my brain that nothing else registered after that incident. Otherwise, would love to pull a Matt Schwab trade to another team.& Cj too. Did you see him when Mills went Rosencopter into the ground?
YesDid Tunsil play long enough to get his false start? Enquiring minds want to know.
Give me Booker or Milum in the draft and sign Kelly in FA. Christiansen is a really solid guy though and would be a good addition. Plus he's been healthier than Kelly.Man, let this setup be successful next week. It would sure be a nice day for the Texans if, C-Patterson, RG-Scruggs, RT-Fisher, prove to be a strong answer going into next season.
That would leave LG as the question mark….that could be filled via the draft or signing a veteran UFA.
One veteran UFA of interest could be, LG/OG/OT/C- Brady Christiansen (BYU). He’s put together a very good 2024 after injuries took away some playing time in 2022 and 2023. His versatility could be reminiscent of Bruce Mathews. The success he’s enjoyed has come with the Carolina Panthers, a crap organization. It may not take much to get him to jump ship and join the Texans…especially if he knew he was being signed to take over the LG position. He’s been bounced all over the OL with the Panthers, not to mention a new HC and OC each season. Give him stability and a singular position focus and it probably delivers in a big way.
LT- Tunsil
LG- Christiansen
OC- Patterson
RG- Scruggs
RT- Fisher
Did his false start hurt the team? NopeDid Tunsil play long enough to get his false start? Enquiring minds want to know.
I'm not familiar with him. There is a FA guard coming off a tibia injury who I'd be willing to go after. Colts right guard Will Fries
In fairness, I wrote that before halftime. I would modify my score from B+ to C for the overall game. He is a backup for a T said…he did some decent things at times. Bit put. To consistently. And not when it mattered. CJ won’t need to look over his shoulder, but I do see some signs of growth.
Fries if healthy and he should be, could kick out to right tackle with 26 of 48 at Penn State and KCs Trey Smith would be awesome at LG.There is a FA guard coming off a tibia injury who I'd be willing to go after. Colts right guard Will Fries
