Titans a legitimate threat?

I'm concerned enough about the Titans to go three pages deep to find this thread.

I thought they would have a down year for sure.

Meh im still not buying it LOL maybe the Browns are just not that good look who the titans have played no one elite IMO

If your oline can protect and you are getting good qb play you'll be in most games.

The titans are going to be a tough team to beat.

They are playing much better than I thought they were capable of ..... Not sure if they can sustain that with their talent tho , its a long season.

Conversely, you could also wonder how we ended up 6-10 last year with all the talent WE had.

Sounds like Tennessee has decent coaching. (Which is kind of embarrassing, considering they have a first time head coach).

The Titans schedule gets a bit tougher later on in the year as ours gets a bit easier, we'll see how they hold up.

I don't like to look at another teams roster and make judgements on their talent level because for all I know they could have guys that are waiting to bust out or guys that do certain things well.

Look at foster. . .before he broke out folks probably said we lacked talent at the rb position.

I'll re-evaluate the titans at the end of the season because they may have a few guys step their game up and become good or elite players.

They are playing well and have beat some decent teams. Plus divisional games are funny because you know your opponent so well.

I think the titans game will be anything but a cakewalk. If we have a good record they will be amped to take us out.

every year not matter what i think our divison games will be hell IMO

Heck even the colts next time we play them its going to be much different IMO

Good thing is that the Titans play Steelers next week at Pittsburgh while we entertain the Raiders.

A Steeler team that will looks like it might be without Big Ben since we put him in a walking boot. Who knows, but it would be the Titans lucky break that's for sure if he doesn't play.

Imo, we do typically have problems with smashmouth teams but I am not nearly as worried this year as I have been in past years.

Ok runs the ball well but doesn't pass well. Baltimore passes well but can't run.

I think we should win against the raiders and give us a coin flip against Baltimore. Against the raiders make them one dimensional I think angle beaters (ie speed backs) give us more trouble than power backs and he could blow us up. Getting ahead fast makes them play catchup and thus one dimensional. Against Baltimore long drives and power running are key and hit flacco ALOT.

I just cant wait till we get over this hardest part of our sechudle

Im rdy to play the titans and Jags already and see whos going to win the AFCS already lol

It doesn't really matter how good the Browns are. The question is can the Titans win 10 games?

They are 3-1
Pitts - 1
Bye
Houston
Indy - 2
Bengals - 3
Carolina - 4
Atlanta - 5
Tampa Bay - 6
Buffalo - 7
New Orleans
Indy - 8
Jags - 9
Houston

New Orleans is the only elite left on their schedule
Even if we sweep them, there are still 9 games on their schedule they can win. I'm not saying that they can win all 9, only that they are all winnable. They only need to win 7 more for a 10 win season.

I'd almost bet money Ben plays , he's a tough son of a gun ..... and that the Steelers win .... cant remember the last time they lost two in a row.

Ray Rice is one of the leagues best backs ..... I think he would question that statement.

Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and Buffalo will not be cake walks.

But I like to take things week by week since obviously things can change and by then the Bills could come back down to earth.

I hope we pissed the Steelers off, Ben is tough...he will tough out this injury if it's not serious otherwise they are likely to beat Batch behind that oline.

They beat a good Ravens team and a decent Browns team though. I was hoping the Browns would have gave them more of a challenge to show that they are just a decent team but looks like they have something going for them.

I still think this is our division to lose. We have the talent to sweep our division and should win some games against teams like Oakland, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Tampa Bay, Carolina - and we also have a chance to beat Baltimore.

Sure, the Titans play better than expected and might very well have a 9-7 record or even a 10-6. But there is no reason for us to not have a 10-6 record and at the very least get a wildcard spot.

No, Matt Hasselbeck is a legitimate threat. Chris Johnson just showed up yesterday. He might stay there but Hasselbeck is doing a good job. He is underrated and always has been. He is injury prone but he might have over it. People forget that he lead a good but not great team to the Super Bowl. He is a guy who will hold his own and usually not lose the game for you. He wad the guy the Titans needed to stabilize the ship and he has done so. The season is young but he's done well. A classy guy also. People also forget that he threw 4 TDs last year when the Seahawks beat the Saints. It's overshadowed by Marshawn Lynch's TD run (which was awesome).

I'm not putting them up as wins, I'm just saying it's possible.

I don't know why Texans' fans are saying 10 games will win the division.

Like I said, we can sweep the Titans (which most likely won't happen) & they can still win 10 games. There really isn't another "elite" team on their schedule other than New Orleans.

We may need 11 games to make the play-offs.... we may need 12

our we may need only 9 ......

At the start of the season, I thought Hasselbeck might be washed up.

I'm not sure I think that any more. Maybe he just needed a scenery change.

I see the bye weeks as favorable. We need to win to keep momentum, but sometimes teams get rusty off the bye week and it takes a bit to get back in to things. Helps us out because apparently we are a first half team now.
