Time to move on

Lets not spend too long picking Carr and Capers apart this week eh?

Im still in the "replace capers at the end of the season" boat... and Im not sold on Carr.. but we made a good showing this week and progressed alot from the last two games.

the Positives:

1. We spread the ball around alot more

2. Capers actually got worked up a couple times

3. Pendry's offense seems much more professional

4. We made good adjustments at the half.

The Negatives:

1. We still didnt get the ball to Johnson enough.

2. Carr still got sacked too much.

3. The Officials hate us.

my thoughts.

We looked alot better.. but how long will it last? Can Pendry continue to adjust once the opposing team knows how he runs the offense?

Carr looked better out there despite the sacks.. he was accurate.. he got the ball to different receivers... but he still didnt look like a 4th year QB. I didnt expect him to though.. this team is still recovering from week 1 and 2.

Ill give them the benefit of the doubt for now. We looked better..so we may continue to improve and look ALOT better next week. We will see. For now.. im still not sold on Capers or Carr though... but im not gonna waste a week repeating old arguements.

There will be plenty of time to call out Capers and Carr and demand changes in a few weeks when we have a better idea of where this team is going.

good post.

the only thing i might not agree with is johnson. not that i dont think we need to get him the ball more. but im starting to wonder what hes doing to get hisself open. and he sure is dropping the ball a lot. on one play today he just fell down. he was so worried about securring the ball he didnt give himself a chance to run. we need our superstar to make plays not fall down catching it.

I think we played well enough to beat most of the teams in the NFL today. We played a good team. We contained their main offensive threats. We didn't make a lot of mistakes and we had a chance to win the game on the final play. After the first two weeks of play that is all I can ask for against a 3-0 team.

Penalties, pass protection, pass rush are the main areas we still need to work on.

I saw alot of good stuff tonight, but what I hated were the penalties and... that last drive.... ´Hopefully they'll work on the 2-min drill this week :)

IMO our team stepped up big today. We did have alot of penalties, but we didnt give up big plays on defense and our offense moved the ball well most of the time. Our pass protection is still very suspect, but Carr took a lickin and kept on tickin. He looks MUCH better this week. Our run game also looked much better. Instead of our whole line moving straight sideways as normal, we actually had movement on the LOS. We pushed their defensive linemen back on a good amount of plays and get decent yardage. The best thing I saw out of the game overall is our team played with INTENSITY...
