There Is Nothing That Can Be Done This Year That Can Not Be Redeemed Next Year

This is for everyone who is Fighting over The Two! O.K. If we take a QB this year, and everyone is PO because we passed on the greatest RB in the History of the NCAA, the next Gale Sayers, have faith, Adrian Peterson, the greatest power back since Earl Cambell is probably comming out next year and if we really feal we that the Texans should redeem themselve then hey we trade up and take the guy. For all the guys who will be PO because we passed on the greatest QB of NCAA History, there is a QB comming out of Notre Dame who is being molded, as we speak, by Charley Weiss. I know we can all say that next years the talent is not what we have this year but people, we will still get one of The Two this year, and if need be the Texans have a chance to redeem your heart next year.

But Quinn isnt from UT.
 
Heck yah.. nothing we do cant be fixed later. I mean.. there is sure to be a great game changing player available every draft... so as long as we get the best player in the draft every year, we will be owning in no time.
 
Quinn isn't from UT, Peterson isn't from USC, but I would be willing to bet that at this time next year, people are going to be all over those two guys like stink on poop. I just hope that those guys don't have to go through what The QB this year has had to go through with the media, and the slanders. You know, even in his home town you hear people slamming they guy. He seems like a really great person, and it is a shame that people talk the way they do. You know The RB is a great kid, he was lucky that The QB came out this year because right before the National Championships when everyone was saying Houston was in the running for The RB by loosing all the games, almost every scout/T.V. Announcer was commenting on how Lindale White was a better NFL prospect and how The RB was too small, or unable to carry the load. Once the QB decided to come out, all attention and slanders shifted to him, and The RB was all of the sudden the greatest thing since sliced bread. I hope they both prove all of the critics wrong. I hope the both dominate for years! :superman:

I'm not necessarilly one of the Reggie Bush lovers, but our (new?) blocking scheme isn't really made for power runners. At least that's what I keep reading. I'm OK with DD and Morency anyway though.

JMO but your timeline is off. Lendale White is, if anyone, the guy who gained the most from the Rose Bowl. He was listed behind Bush by everyone and behind DeAngelo Williams and Laurence Maroney by most as well before the Rose Bowl. Now it appears Bush is solidly at #1, Maroney is at #4 and there is a split between Williams and White for who is #2.

The idea Bush became a hot item after VY declared is laughable. Folks were talking about the "Bush Bowl" and the Texans ditching games from mid-season last year.

Put down the orange kool-aid and watch a couple of Irish games.

Quinn moves around in the pocket very well.

He can take the ball from under center, make several reads and get the ball to the open receiver.

Obviously you prefer your QB to take the ball in the shotgun, make one read then take off running.

Peterson will be a stud power back. Maybe we get him next year to go with Bush:redtowel:

Seriously though, if we could deal the number one pick and end up with 2 extra nu,ber one picks next year, I would do it. Otherwise, Bush is too good to pass up.

For quite a few post now, I have been trying in earnest to present you with the benefit of the doubt in regards to your repetitive jargon in stating your views upon the upcoming draft....

I have tried to be patient and understanding to many of your viewpoints, for I am always trying to present respect first.......and present arguement later. But for the very life of me, I just cannot decipher which ever way that you truly stand.
