The Stone Hand Award

76Texan

Hall of Fame
Dallas Clark & Braylon Edwards each has 12 drops.
(Edwards did get thrown to more often - 153, Clark, 100)
So I guess it's Clark who should receive the award.

Reggie Bush led all RBs with 10 (98 passes thrown to).

Another great accomplishment by Reggie Boy.

I've seen enough of Edwards to know he has great hands. 12 isn't such a big number to call these guys stone hands.

Should it be for the most or the highest percentage of drops with a certain minimum number of targets?

12 drops in 153 attempts = 92.2 % catches

10 drops in 98 attempts = 89.8 % catches

So yeah, I think % should win.. Besides, at the end of the day; who would you want to throw to??!

Half of the time, stats is just for fun.
There's no doubt that Edwards is a pretty good receiver, considering his Y/C and TDs (which is offset quite a bit by the pct. caught).

So here are the numbers of most of the #1 WRs in the AFC
(those most likely defended by #1 CB or double teamed).
I included a few extras, just for comparison:

Passes Pct. Drops Y/C TDs
Thrown To Caught
Braylon Edwards 153 52.3 11 16.1 16
Lee Evans 113 48.7 5 15.4 5
Randy Moss 159 61.6 9 15.8 23
Wes Welker 145 77.2 4 10.5 8
Jerricho Cotchery 127 64.6 6 13.8 2
Brandon Marshall 170 60 7 13.0 7
Dwayne Bowe 117 59.8 5 14.2 5
Chad Johnson 161 57.8 7 15.5 8
T.J. Houshmandzadeh 169 66.3 6 10.2 12
Hines Ward 112 63.4 5 10.3 7
Santonio Holmes 85 61.2 3 18.1 8
Derrick Mason 164 62.8 6 10.6 5
Justin Gage 85 64.7 2 13.6 2
Reggie Wayne 156 66.7 6 14.5 10
Reggie Williams 60 63.3 1 16.5 10
Andre Johnson 86 69.8 2 14.2 8
Kevin Walter 106 61.3 0 12.3 4
Andre Davis 63 52.4 2 17.7 3

Mr. Kevin Walter should earn a raise or sumthing! :specnatz:
