The rejection of Myron Rolle

Truth is, Myron Rolle wasn't very good. He was never a bad player, he just wasn't very good. He was stiff. Mickey Andrews' defense was a lot like Wade's defense, alot of man coverage. He was exposed in the scheme pretty regularly when playing TEs and slot recievers in man coverage. When he was asked to play zone, he just wasn't fast enough to cover the necessary ground. He was pretty much a disappointment at FSU. He was a highly recruited 5 star prospect that played more like a hard working 3-star.

I love the guy though, he was and still is great for our university.

I've seen some dudes make excuses for their failure before, but damn...

If you were good enough to play in the NFL, much less start, you would be in the NFL barring personal choice. The dude needs to face the facts. He wasn't good enough to make a team (despite getting two chances).

I felt embarrassed for him while reading this.

Sounds a lot like VY idiot fans who think he's out of the NFL because of Jeff Fisher and not because he's not good enough.

Agreed.

Plus, iirc, many questioned his passion for football when he decided to enter the draft. He was given the chance to play in tenn and failed.

He was OK at FSU, but that year away from football really hurt him. I watched him at Senior Bowl pratices and he was slow and stiff. I wish guys like him were rewarded for looking at the bigger picture in life, but as a few of you have already said he just wasn't good enough to stick.
