If you are not a member of the "We're going 13-3" club, you have absolutely nothing to complain about.

If you thought we would go 8-8, 7-9, 6-10........ then this is what it looks like. Starting Rookies will look like starting rookies..

Especially if you take the #1 overall and play him out of position because you have no one on the team who can play that position. No...... Seth Payne does not play the position well.... he may very well be the best we've ever seen on this team, but that isn't saying much. TJ is getting better...... again, that ain't saying much.

You want to see Mario out as a DE more often?? TJ & Seth has to step it up, that's all there is to it.

Kubiak made a mistake.... first of all, he was working in January, trying to get his former team into the superbowl.......... then he had a little more than a month to study our team, and find out how to fix 4 years of abyssmal football.

from the get go, he said we need a defensive end to get pressure on the QB. So we went and got Weaver. We all knew he wasn't a pass rusher. We all knew he was going to help us stop the run.

As time went on, I think he found out that we were weaker @ DT than we were at DE........ and that's why he's been putting all his money(Weaver & Mario) in at DT.

So yeah, he made a mistake...... thinking he could get something out of RobaireSmith...... whom a lot of youse guys thought was our best defensive lineman.

& it makes sense..... if I'm Kubiak, before talking & working with these guys... to think Robaire is serviceable, and that he can get 1st roung production out of TJ......

Well he's got TJ closer to where he should be(TJ looks like he lost some weight....... he looks like a DE)...... and he dumped Robaire......

So..... I'm still thinking we'll get to 13-3...... I know Ibar's with me. but I doubt he's whining and crying like you babies.....

If you think we're going to lose 8, 9, of 10 games....... then come on with the I told you so's, and stop crying.
 
I was a member of the 16-0 Club.

I'm thinking of starting the 15-1 Club now.

If we lose again, I'll join the 13-3 club. If we lose 4 time, I'm just going to keep my membership with the 13-3 club, then at least I won't be in a club all by myself again.

Except maybe the Titans, who are really horrible

But I will say now what I said about the 1-15 Dallas Cowboys after Aikman's rookie year. I predicted they would get to the Super Bowl before the Oilers did. And I was right. So I'll predict that Vince will take the Titans to the Super Bowl before the Texans get there -

Then you should have nothing else to say.... this team performed exaclty like you thought it would..... You should be happy.

everytime I say "I told you so" I've been extremely happy.

But your're crying like a girl..... (no offense FILO_Girl, TC, SheTexan.......et. al..) did you think we were going to the SuperBowl?? or something??

I was predicting 16-0 this was one of the closer games on my list, we were only going to win by 203 points by my prediction, the other games were complete blowouts.

Seriously though, of the so-called tough games at the start of the schedule we "aren't supposed to win". This Eagles game was the only one I had doubts about. From now on, I'm 100% confident we'll win. Heres to sweeping our division! :redtowel: :redtowel: :redtowel: :redtowel:

I'm feeling so confident in my team, that I KNOW the Colts will be too afraid to show up next week!

Unfortunately, I know people will still complain even when the Texans get the bye week win. They'll say something like "Carr didn't exit the highway fast enough" or "He kept using the wrong blinkers when he turned".

and Peyton Manning, and Daunte Culppeper, and Carson Palmer...but he didnt sprout wings and carry us to victory, despite being on the field for all of 9 minutes because the D coldnt stop anyone, thus, this entire defeat is entirely his fault.

...who played against the Bills. The Bills definitely have playmakers, but the definitely have holes as well.

The kicking game turned out better than I thought and we actually had an advantage in the punt game so that is a positive. I think its obvious what hurt us today and one was expected and one was not. To begin with it is very obvious we are missing DD at this point. Would he have made a difference, I really don't know, but I have to believe he is a better runner than anyone we have put out there so far. Carr continues to have a good portion of the RB's yardage and that is simply not good. The one glaring weakness that really is unexpected was the D-line and the overall defense. I'm still not certain what to make of this. Without pressure on the opposing QB it could be a long season.

Carr did reasonably well, but not perfect. Moulds did as expected and scored and AJ did not. They are still going to double AJ until others make it hurt. I was not happy with the TE play for whatever reason. However, given the caliber of team we were playing we still were in the game if we get a break here or there. It was not a run away and we gave them a scare to begin with. If you look back you will see it took McNabb awhile to adjust as well. Seems like we again were unsuccessful in adjusting to whatever changes the Eagles made.

This happened a lot last year as well. We get some momentum and the other teams adjust and we loose it. I'm not certain why this is happening with Kubiak, because I expect him to be able to adjust on the fly. I will say Denver had the same problem. I can't believe Kubiak would be at a loss if his running game simply isn't working.

Again the question I raise is what happened to the O-line. Were the Eagles that much better or were there other factors? Kubiak has said we need to run, but we ran nowhere today. I have stated over and over that I think this team has to pass well before it can run well. I still think this ball club is more like the Montana 49er's years when the pass set up the run. Our WR's and TE's are the strength of this ball club, not the RB's. I know Kubiak has his heart set on running, but that is not the strength of this team.

I hope they review what they are doing and adjust accordingly. We have 3 big WR's and a couple of good hands TE's. They should be able to do a lot of damage if you play them the way they should be. We have to figure out a way to make the teams pay for blitzing us. Once, we do that they will back off and the nature of the game will change.

I certainly hope Indy has there noses in the air next week. I mean after watching tape of us they have to think we will be a push over. That could mean an upset in the making. Hmm, wouldn't that be nice. Finally a win over Indy.

So the choices are to be a whiner or to be delusional? I don't want to be in either camp. I'll be in reality, and I'll see the rest of you guys at the end of the season when you want to plan who we take with our top ten pick.
 
I'm afraid it's going to take beating Tenn. twice to put us all in the 2-14 club. :crying: My prediction was 8-8 (and going down).

No, think about it. IF you thought we werer going to go 8-8 or worse, this is what it looks like. This is what you expected.

So why are you complaining?? You said we were young, and inexperienced. You said we had a new coaching staff. You said we needed time to gel....... were you expecting to beat the NFC East Champions along the way??

I think people are upset, because they are delusional. No one in their right mind would have thought we'd beat the Eagle team from 2004...... the team that went to the SuperBowl, the team that showed up yesterday. If the 2005 Eagles were out there...... the Sports Hernia'd McNabb....... the "I'm too upset to Play football because T.O. doesn't want to play with us" Eagles....... those Eagles we could've beat.

We played 4 QTRs of football yesterday, against a team playing 4 QTRs..... not a team resting their starters for next weeks game. Not a team whose Starters play less than 100% because it was a meaningless preseason game.

We did well in some areas....... we bombed in others..... let's see if we get better next week........ that's about all we can do, and about all we can expect.

The Bills are my sleeper team this year...I think they are going to surprise and upset some people this year...

Just goes to prove that stats are for fantasy football. Scoreboard is all that really matters. Tom Brady: 1-0...David Carr: 0-1 ;)

I'm thinking about joining the "3-13 is an improvement over last year" club after yesterday's game. I honestly expected something that resembled a running game, and I thought we had a defensive squad this year that might at least be a speedbump to opposing offenses.

Carr did look better, though, and I'm so glad we picked up Moulds. Dude is a gamer and will prove to be the most valuable pickup from the off-season (next to Kubiak, of course).

It doesn't get any easier for Texans

When Texans coach Gary Kubiak met the media Monday for his weekly news conference at Reliant Stadium, he was asked if scoring 10 points and rushing for 70 yards on 20 carries sounded familiar.

Naturally, Kubiak thought about the 24-10 loss to Philadelphia in which the Texans managed only 70 yards rushing on 20 carries.

When informed that in his 2005 opener with Denver, the Broncos lost to Miami 34-10 and rushed for 70 yards on 20 carries, Kubiak frowned.

"Oh, did it get any better?" he said.

As a matter of fact, it did. The Broncos won 13 of their next 15 games, but anyone thinking about that kind of recovery for the Texans is dreaming.

Are you all forgetting we played a high powered high caliber NFL team. Mcnabb looks back to old form, The defense seems to be clicking on the same page.

No doubt about it, we are rebuilding, Until Mcnabb got Stallworth, I did not think his offense would go pass the RB.

I really think it is going to be 2-3 more games before you see a true gelling between a new offensive line and new defensive line.

It sould have been worse, you could have played the Bears on Sunday and got the A** whooping the Packers got. I have to boast a bit on an off note... The first time Favre has been shutout in his CAREER!!!

I have three things to say:
  1. Be patient (I know it is alot to ask, but the Texans have not been around long enough to bury them yet
  2. Keep backing your team as if they were in FIRST PLACE
  3. NEVER BOW DOWN TO SOMEONE COMING IN YOUR HOUSE TO PUSH YOU AROUND!@!
