The Official Houston Texans Draft Days Discussion Thread

Not going OL at 3 and taking Kenyon Green tells us they view Howard as OT. Green is a set him and forget him LG starter for 10 years+. The high floor dependable player to balance the high risk ceiling player taken at 3.

Now time to see who is available at 37… or if the Texans trade back up into the first for another player they covet. WR or Edge rusher next are my picks.
Howard can be a probowl rt to me

AJ Brown being traded to the Eales, wow..
This draft is getting nuts?
Is Green better than Johnson?
Close. Green is a OG with OT versatility. Zion is a OG with C versatility.

Green had a poor combine, and was a Junior and not available for the Senior Bowl. Johnson had a better combine and a good Senior Bowl. Green has the better resume, being a top college lineman since he enter college.

Edge is the more valuable position so Johnson is higher on my board. But Green has a longer list of college achievements as a multiple year all SEC OL who has started at multiple positions. I love a first round guard like Kenyon Green. This team has literally never had an interior OL with his pedigree before.
i thought he was asking about Green compared to OG Zion Johnson.

So now we got a 2nd round pick, 2 3rds, 3 4ths, 3 5ths, and 2 6ths to go. That's a lot of picks.

Booyah! Huge capital to work with for sure…maybe a bundle of those to move into the second or even the first round for. All bets are off for sure!

This is a deep enough draft this year where they could get good players all the way through the 4th round, maybe the 5th if they draft well. The problem with that is I don't like they way they've drafted so far, so I just don't trust anything they do. Yet.

They can still redeem themselves in my eyes, but this 1st round sucked because of Stingley. If the Texans can run the ball better because of that guard, then I'm all for it.

Bread and butter, long term players at an economic level…more bang for the buck. I like multiple picks rather that shooting the proverbial ‘wad’ on a few.
