The NFL is rigged!

Am I alone in thinking that both overturned fumble calls were botched?
I am not saying one was possession and the other wasn't. I'm saying that they both should have been the same call of possession (or not possession).

Vikings upset with officials after missed call on hit to Bradford
December 2, 2016, 5:49 AM EST

The Vikings were not pleased with the officials after Thursday night’s loss to the Cowboys.

Sam Bradford was hit on the helmet by Cowboys defensive tackle Cedric Thornton while throwing the ball away on an attempted game-tying two-point conversion, the kind of hit that often draws a roughing the passer penalty. But there was no flag.

Bradford immediately turned to referee Tony Corrente to point out he’d been hit but said after the game that Corrente told him that Thornton only touched his shoulder pad, not his facemask. Bradford may have been upset, but by far the most upset Viking was defensive end Brian Robison, who ripped the officiating.

“I’m just going to say it right now: I’m sick and tired of the reffing in this league,’’ Robison said. “I’m sick and tired of it. You’ve got holding calls all over the place that people don’t want to call it. Bradford gets hit in the face at the end of the game, and you don’t call it. I’m not laying this loss on reffing, but at some point it’s got to be better.’’

Robison said his anger toward the officiating has been building for several weeks and has now reached a boiling point. A lot of NFL fans are feeling that way.WQ

All my life I've wondered why the first man on a fumble isn't considered down-by-contact when the mass of humanity piles on. Last night the refs for the first time in my viewing years actually called it that way. The problem I have is that they've never made that call in the past 48 years I've been watching. It is like the tuck rule. It is something that was spun to create the result the NFL wanted.

Seriously, why isn't the first guy on the ball down-by-contact, and until last night why is it the strongest guy at the bottom of the pile was awarded possession?

Someone may have mentioned it already, but did anyone else see the Raiders players fist bumping, and high fiving the refs before the game? I saw it, and told my GF to "check this bullsh!t out!" It reminded me of Vince and Jerome Boger.

Here's the video.

Jerome Boger is the God-Damned AntiChrist!

It's always been rigged. I'm still hurting from how they screwed my Oilers against the Bills.

Well, you can look at the NFL in one of two ways.

First, you can assume it is run by a bunch of honest millionaires that have the game's best interest at heart, and would never do anything to soil the name or reputation of the NFL. Or, you can assume there are owners and individual's involved in the games that would do anything to turn a buck and maximize profits, even if that means turning the NFL into something that resembles the WWF. I happen to believe there is too much money involved with the NFL for it to be as squeaky clean as we all like to imagine it is.

Watching raiders v chiefs - it's only the 3rd quarter but again the raiders are getting some very favorable calls

I said it after the Texans game.. the NFL Wants the Cowboys Vs raiders and will do everything to make that happen. That crap would be the highest rated Superbowl ever. People are sick of seeing the same old teams like the patriots in the championship.

Expect the nfl to subtly ot not so subtly pave the way for both teams going forward.

Yeah, but apparently NBC doesn't want the Raiders. Did you see where Amari Cooper was wide-open for a TD pass but misplayed it? Well, it wasn't a misplay by him after all. NBC hit the pass with the cable from their spider camera. Then again, Cooper says he thinks the wind caught it and just made the pass die. Who knows. There is video of it on Twitter, but I can't tell from those images.

In another tinfoil hat moment, noticed that NFL.com has the Titans listed as 1st in the AFC South and above the Texans in conference standings. Even though the Texans have a 3-0 division record and currently own the tiebreaker against both Tennessee and Indy. :kitten::kitten::kitten:

Yep, I noticed that too! I also noticed on the Fanspeak Mock Draft they have the Texans picking 14th now instead of 21st like before. We are picking ahead of both the colts and the tacks! No respect at all! Or, maybe they all know something we don't! :(
