The defense was also embrassing

gtexan02

Working?
Offsides penalties galore in the first half. Allowing Losman to gain so much confidence. 1 sack and no pressure throughout the game. Greenwood only had 5 tackles. This is going to be a long year.

No way, the D was not embarassing. I'm surprised they were able to walk at the end of the game given the amount of time they were on the field.
OK, we're still not getting pressure on the QB, but overall the D was not the big problem today.

the only thing I was embarased about from our defense where the 3 Easu Interceptions that where dropped other than that I was happy with the Defense its hard being on the field all the time .

You are wrong on our Defense...if it wasnt for the D...the score would been 55 to 7...our defense did a good enough job to win.....now our offense really stunk it up today....and HEEEERE COME THE STEELERS :bomb:

I can't believe y'all are satisfied with the defense. You know Buffalo did not punt in the first half right? A QB making his first start looks like a hall of famer, we could not get any pressure on a patchwork o-line that was supposed to be about as good as ours... did we force any three and outs the entire game? McGahee ran all over us, potential interceptions dropped.

On the bright side we held them to just field goals, except for the touchdown where TWO receivers were completely uncovered with nobody within fifteen yards.

Bottom line, the defense sucked and amazingly the offense was even worse. :bomb:

The defense was pretty tired and uphead well for all the chances the Bills were given in Texans' own territory. Greenwood was not too impressive and once again our pass rush is nowhere. It will take a few games to get solid, I just don't think we have that long.

Considering the field position the Bills enjoyed ALL DAY LONG the defense did a pretty decent job of limiting the damage .... It could have easily been 49-7 had they not been able to hold up in the red zone .

I think thats the ONLY bright spot on the day for the Texans :bomb:

you cant expect 3 guys to get all the pressure on a qb. there were hardly any blitzes

its 3rd down and we rush 3, JP has ALL DAY to throw and then he decides to run since we are spread out so much. luckily he did not get the 1st down but really....isnt that supposed to be a situation where you call for SOME blitz even if it isnt real heavy.

im not ready to give up on this team - and its real hard to be a fan right now - but alot of plays on offense as well as defense were suspect. capers might be better suited as the defensive coordinator instead of being the decision maker for offense. its becoming apparent some changes have to be implemented ASAP.

btw anyone watchin agassi? the only other thing i was looking forward to today besides the texan game

Our defense can only stop the pass or the run. Never both. In the first half, we stuffed McGahee but let Losman pass all over us. We switched over at half time and stuffed Losman, but McGahee ran wild. this is NOT something to be proud about. That team does not have a fantastic offense, but they looked smooth out there.

The defense did as good as any D can given the field position they worked with. Buchannon really sucked big ones today though.

He didn't give up any TD passes.

The D did not put pressure on Losman like Buffalo did to Carr. Result was a win for Buffalo and a loss for the Texans. Early on when pressure would have ment something it wasn't applied. Losman got his game going and it was only the luck of the draw that no touchdowns were scored. They got a couple of key penalties also when the chips were down. They put a lot of pressure on our offense because they were scoring even if it was only field goals. But hell the pressure didn't bother us because we kept running on 1st down.

i think he didnt want to give up the big play and left too much of a cushion. he kept the receiver in front of him (most of the time) but im not gonna blame him with the pressure we are getting on the qb. you cant really take a whole lot of chances when the qb has all day and open passing lanes.

We had that problem last year. Our defense kept the games close, and Deadslow blew it.

I never said I was satisfied, but I did say if it wasnt for the defense holding the Bills to a million field goals...the score could have and should have been alot worse...HOPE THEY CAN RIGHT THE SHIP,Or its gonna be a LOOONG SEASON
