its pretty much how id make it up at the moment...

only change id make is swap NO and the bengals picks (CIN have hall and joseph set at cb)

If they draft him he better find a motor because from what I have read about Alex Gibbs he will shove one up his keaster if he doesn't bring one with him. Sounds like it goes for everyone on the line and RB's.

I have to agree on the mock. It looks pretty solid, but the Raiders hardly ever do what most people would consider reasonable and intelligent.

Miami's pick makes sense, aside from taking Chad Henne in the 2nd round. back-to-back 2nd round picks on QB's? i don't doubt they'll look at the position in this draft, but maybe with a 4th

I was talking with a friend of mine, and as you know most of them are Dolphins fans, and we were talking Dolphins' draft picks. The issue of QB came up. I mean McCown and Beck as the two fighting for the starting job. Ehh, looks bad. But we ended up agreeing that they would be better off if they left QB alone for this year, and worked on other positions.

I don't see any reason to take a QB past round 1 if your the Dolphins. You haven't seen enough of Beck to use a pick on a QB after round 1, IMO.

My concern on WIlliams if he needs a motor and has a huge contract he better not get much up front money because Gibbs are not, he just might not "get a motor". I still like the pick.

Williams is a smart guy.

He has a motor.

He couldn't have made the all SEC team twice without having a motor.

How was he able to only alow 2 sacks in 2 years playing against all of those SEC guys with high motors if he didn't have a high motor?

If having a motor is the only question mark I'm sure Gibbs will help him with that.

Williams is the pick many if not most Texans fans want the team to make,
but it's unlikely he's available for us at #18.
And I'm also seriously skeptical that the #1 & #7 picks in this Draft will be a
RT & a guard.

no reason at ALL to think Williams is "unlikely" to be there at 18. there's several good tackles in the draft, and different teams will rank them differently, just like with any position. you see this every year in the first round when there's an abundance of talent at any one position. corners get flip-flopped all the time compared to peoples' expectations, as do receivers and running backs.

of course, what that means is it could both help and hurt the Texans. a team may have Williams as the 2nd best tackle in the draft and see-ya-later. but at this point, Williams is a definite possibility.

Also, the Motor comment came from when Kirwan interviewed williams about a month ago. I listened to it. Williams came across a little passive and didn't really display alot of "football passion". But what I did like about williams is that he was honest. He didn't sugarcoat anything.

if you're playing at Vanderbilt at LT, and you're not showing passion, then you're getting destroyed by the opposition, because you can't just take it easy there.

I agree. I think he'll be pretty good in the pro's. They just wanna nitpick. But they do that with all prospects.

I surewould hate to see Branden Albert go to the Pats .... the rich get richer in this secnerio ( I think he's the best OL in this draft period ) .... Altho I would probably have them taking one of the LB's as theirs are ancient .

Williams just needs to find seven more reps in the bench to become an elite OLT.
There's no quetion about his feet. The quetions are his upper body strength and
run blocking. In this system, on the left, he should be fine.

The "motor" comment smells like scout smoke to me. Same thing we got in '06 on Mario. Remember ? That one worked out OK.

Odds are he'll be off the board @ 18.

Long is a safe pick and he addresses a need for Miami, whos new head coach, Tony Sparano, is a former offensive line coach.
Is "whos" an American spelling, like "color", or is Kirwan illiterate?

Williams is far from being my pick. I would rather have one of the other LT's later in the draft like Collins. I am just not impressed with what I have seen on Williams. IMHO, he isn't much better than the OT's that will fall in the 3rd. Albert, however, is arguably the best LT prospect in the draft. He is my pick for the Texans, but I know he won't be there when the Texans draft.
