Seattle is making an effort to retool the offense around Russell Wilson after the retirement of Marshawn Lynch. This is the third OL we have drafted after we hit OG in the 1st and C in the 4th. We also added a RB and a WR. Without Lynch to take pressure off Wilson we are hoping to provide him with more weapons and better protection. Nembot has the size, length, and athleticism to be a future starter at OT in the NFL, but he is far from that right now. He is a project that needs development in his core strength, footwork, and technique.

He has a very low floor, which is common with 7th round picks. But he has a very high ceiling for a prospect in this range of the draft. With patience and coaching he could be developed into a very good pro player. Or, he could fail to improve and we're only out a 7th round pick.

The only pick I didn't love at the time that I made it was Hogan, but with their depth chart at QB I couldn't wait until the third round. And I liked Hogan at #49 more than I liked Lynch at #19, mostly because Butler is pretty much the perfect player for the weak side DT spot in Rex's defense and I felt like I just had to have him.

Butler is a day one starter. Hogan is the future QB if Tyrod Taylor's level of play doesn't stay up. Beavers and Garrett are raw and need seasoning but probably start in year two. Zettel and Kirkland are solid depth guys that may not ever start but could be an essential part of a two-deep rotation. Longa and Thompson are depth guys that will see situational snaps and play special teams.
 
@infantrycak just want to make it known that the results page shows pick #252 belonging to Seattle. I believe my final pick is #247 and that #252 actually belongs to Carolina, unless I have missed something.

However, I will take the pick if Carolina doesn't want it. :dancer:

I had actually taken over the Jets from Blake, but I'm fine with this pick.

But for some reason, my pick-list shows the Broncos picking at that spot.

Oops. I had forgotten that.

I think we gave the Jets this pick as part of the Clady trade since we gave Denver the Jets' earlier pick.

Just to clarify, I did not participate in this draft thread; just pointed out in my own mock I had Docston, Shepherd and Murphy. This would give Texans someone opposite Nuk and an excellent slot in Shepherd. If Strong continues where he left off last year, we would have three great WRs. I do like Haeg but have both Murphy and Beavers as better players. Each of these three can play
left tackle.

I know Im in the minority here but I really like Brissit and he couldn't go to a better fit.
 
With their last pick the Oakland Raiders select jakeem grant WR Texas Tech. He adds explosiveness in the return game which they are lacking. His size might keep him off the field in other roles, but maybe they can carve out some plays to get him in space
