The Actual And Real 2016 Texans' Talk Mock Draft Extravaganza

Everybody who sends me a list make sure you send it to someone else as well. I'll be available the rest of the day today and early tomorrow morning to help keep things flowing. After that, I'm heading to a bachelor party for the weekend and will very likely not be online. I'm sending a list out before I leave as well.
Since I am technically challenged for pm and Cak warns that he seldom looks at conversations, I'll just let everyone see it.

1 Kenny Lawler WR
2 Aaron Burbridge WR
3 Jason Fanaika DE
4 Glenn Gronkowski FB
5 Bralon Addison WR
6 Jonathan Jones CB
7 D.J. White CB
8 Eric Striker OLB/ILB
9 Cole Toner OT
10 Roger Lewis WR
11 Daniel Lasco RB
12 Paul McRoberts WR
13 Tom Hackett P
14 Matt Judon DE/OLB
15 Bryce Williams TE

16 Jatavis Brown OLB/SS
17 Briean Boddy-Calhoun CB
18 Ronald Blair DE
19 Ben Braunecker TE
20 Temarrick Hemingway TE
21 Josh Ferguson RB
22 Kelvin Taylor RB
23 Morgan Burns CB

One of these has to be available at 190.

It's been fun.

My list for what it's worth:

Kenny Fairbanks WR
Aaron Burbridge WR
Jason Fanaika DE
Glenn Gronkowski FB
Bralon Addison WR
Jonathan Jones CB

Another guy that will compete for every throw and win like Hopkins WR1 in the slot WR3 appeals to me with Fuller WR2 taking the safeties deep. And I think he's slipped too far because of speed concerns.

I may be alone in not thinking a Faibourne improves our kicking game over Novak.

My pick is Lawler, but at this point, I don't think there's much real help available.

If you want to improve Special teams, I think Morgan Burns CB/KR would be more effective.

Give me the kicker. KF will have the greatest impact on the team next yr at this point in the draft. KF would be my pick.

They drafted Cameron Artis-Payne last year to be their guy but he really struggled. This could be a spot for your guy Keith Marshall.

I was just about to say it's a good spot for Marshall if RB is the choice.

There is pretty much nothing left on OL. But there are some decent players still left at RB and WR.

I vote Burbridge. Far more accomplished and just more valuable overall as a WR than is Marshall at RB. I actually don't even like Marshall that much.

I wanted Burbridge for Texans two picks ago.

Marshall it is by majority vote.

Carolina selects Keith Marshall - RB, Georgia.

TPN sent me his list for the Lions.

Detroit selects Eric Striker - OLB, Oklahoma.

@WolverineFan do your thing.

With the #171 pick the Seahawks select:

Deiondre Hall - CB, Northern Iowa

Deiondre-Hall-1.jpg

Hall's stock took a tumble after a poor showing in the combine but I'm happy to have him here. He fits Seattle's mold of big, physical CBs. He goes 6-2 199 and plays every bit of it. He's strong in press and can reroute WRs in Cover 1, and he can also cover zone and make plays on the ball in Cover 3. Those are Seattle's main two coverages. Hall lacks recovery speed if he gets beat off the press so he needs to go somewhere he will be protected over the top. Luckily, Seattle just happens to have the best in the game at that in Earl Thomas. I see Hall as kind of a Sherman clone. He's an underappreciated athlete with fantastic tape and a high football IQ.

@Say Watt is on the clock with back to back picks for Cleveland.

There goes my guy. Marshall when healthy is a poor mans Gurley. I'm kicking myself for not picking him last rd. This guy has 1st rd ability without the ACL and it appears he's healthy now. I didn't see the run on RB's happening this late.

Stewart/Marshall = thunder/Lightening

BTW, I'm not sure what you do with Striker but this guy is a player. He immediately upgrades ST's.

Sent message to Cak 2:54 this afternoon. Lol

Dominique Alexander, LB, 6-0 232 Oklahoma

Need someone for Thomas Davis to groom & mold.

Ok, give me a few minutes @ work.....

Jacoby Brissett, QB, 6-4 231, NC State

give Carolina a decent developmental prospect behind Cam who could be a great #2, maybe even successor in time.

So you want Brissett instead of Marshall.

Marshall is back available. Say Watt is up with multiple picks in short order.

Really like Brissett upside. Learning from Cam would be a huge positive. Derek Anderson is jag, plus old, always a good time when value presents itself to plan ahead & Jacoby should have ample time to develop in system with continuity.

Oh boy, figured I'd missed this. I've been kinda MIA from the boards - it's been a semester of (positive) change in life.

Glad to see y'all fellow draftniks carrying on the good work, I look forward to reviewing this thing when it's all said and done

@srrono is on the clock for SF. We're about to hit the window so he'll have all night to get the pick in. He has until 8:37 am tomorrow morning.

Ahole!

Take a gander at Marshall on tape and his stats. Looks like a 3rd string FSU back to be completely honest.

Yep, Karlos Williams wasn't bad this yr. LOL

I remember how dynamic Marshall was as a Frosh and his combine numbers suggest he's gotten his burst back. Better football should be ahead of Marshall. (I could be wrong, wouldn't be the 1st time.)

Marshall on physical traits alone is well worth a pick at this point in the draft. This is in keeping with my philosophy of picking talented but injured/troubled players late in the draft. If you hit you've got a 1st/2nd rd talent. If you miss you lose a late 5th rd pick. Win big/lose little proposition.
