Alabama made adjustments defensively

Offense???
Qb bailed them out

Their defense was pretty stout all game.

Something happened to Texas’ D. Through the first 2 and a half Qtrs, the DBs were suffocating Bama’s receivers giving the pass rush time to get home.

Then all of a sudden he’s finding receivers quick

Tough loss for the Horns. Biggest thing I take away is that the UT defense only gave up 20.

Talking Heads on TV kept saying the offensive line wanted to prove that they were better than last year but that was a fail. Also no burning fast wide receiver for Young to chunk it to as he's had the last couple of years. I have wanted the Texans to start looking like the Tide but it looks like Alabama this season is looking like the Texans.

Alabama should hope that wide receiver Boutte enters portal and chooses them. He is not doing very well tonight.

Caught most of first half before work and end of game. Mostly focused on Bryce Young. Outstanding NFL prospect. Quick release, accurate and mobile. But he is on smaller size, listed 6-0 but bet the under. Kind of cross between Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield. So there is real strong possibility he goes #1 overall.

Good game. Unfortunately Longhorns couldn’t hang on and make defensive stand end of game.

I don't really have a problem with his height (even though I prefer the prototypical size) if only he were built like Russ or Murray, or even Brees. But 190lbs? He's way too thin.

But yes, impressive down the stretch even though they proved through 3 qtrs to be at a severe talent deficit. They're going to have a heckuva time in conference

Height/weight ratio is a red flag, however it can be overcome with adjusting roster construction and play calling, more RPO. Most importantly is his processing. He seems pretty accomplished and comfortable in or out of his comfort zone. Throws a very catchable ball, just his best receivers went to the NFL last year (Jameson Williams and John Metchie). Still managing a game Bama had no business winning, honestly.
