Texans will become a dominant run oriented team

With Kubiak now on board with the possibilites of Dennison and/or Parini coming along ,Texans will become a more run oriented team. Kubiak/Dennison/Parini are all disciples of Alex Gibbs, the Guru of Zone Blocking. Gibbs is now with Atlanta. Atlanta has led the league in rushing the last two years under Gibbs tutelage. Denver was 2nd this year only 9 yards behind Atlanta. Oline will have to have good lateral movement, good foot work and quick off the line, size is not important. In fact most Oline will be in the 290-300 lb range. RB will have to be quick and explode to and thru the gap. An additional tight end will be added as a third tackle, much like the role Beverly plays for Atlanta.

So what you are really trying to say is that Kubiak and co is going to draft Bush!

no no no, what hes saying is we dont need better linemen, houston will become a dominant run blocking team with kubiak on board.

And if they don't draft Bush, Vernand Morency's career just took off...

But I have a sneaky feeling they will draft Bush.

I'm trying to envision a set with DD & Morency in the backfield w/ AJ, Mathis & Bush in the slot. It's scary how much speed we could put on the field....now, we just need to keep the QB alive long enough to use those weapons.

That is a scary vision -- no TE and almost run and shoot-ish. Maybe sit Morency or DD down and put in Benny Joppru at TE and look out....

So what are you going to do when you get inside the 10 since Bush will be on the bench?

I would use to Full back that was touted as being one of the league's best and wasn't used Moran Norris as well as our bigger back, Johnathan Wells.:superman:

Miss a field goal...lol. Seriously though, Bush should be left in unless the Texans have a "LenDale White." He wasn't taken out at USC because he couldn't play in goal-line situations, it was because they didn't have to leave him in. They had a good guy to put in that situation.

Man, that's the kind of offense that gets a fan excited! We'd have three solid playmakers, and with some consistent protection, we might actually see a Texans offense that other teams would - dare I say it - actually have to gameplan for!

Reggie Bush is a Barry Sanders style runner that might not exactly translate well into a Zone Blocking Scheme. In the Zone Blocking Scheme, runners have to be discipline, make ONE move, then hit the hole hard. I see Reggie as the type of runner who always wants to bounce stuff outside if the hole isn't huge rather than trusting the scheme and his O line.

LenDale White would be awesome in Houston under Kubiak. I think Houston needs to draft a down hill runner in the 2nd round and trade that first pick but, this is a horse that has been beaten, ground up into hamburger meat and fed to the dogs already.

Maybe pick up a tight end with the additional 2nd round pick they might acquire....and a stud OLman later in the first round, like that kid from Miami.
