Texans Vs Steelers Game Thread

I am following the play by play tracker on NFL.com - and the thing I guess I am most troubled by is Hollings is 8 carries for 9 yards?
What is up with the O Line?
The O-line looks bad...

Dilbert - I think you can listen to the game for free today off NFL.com, didnt know if you knew...

Get to see Big Ben!!!

tell you what those first two drives were HORRIBLE. The third drive went a little better but stalled...hopefully they starters will come back and keep playing against this 3-4 scheme...And whats with us not being able to run to the left??? What the hell is up with the line??

I am going to worry all year about these ticky tacky calls. The refs better be consistent this year.

Bengals up on the Pats 21-0. Go figure. Its just the preseason. I think we all knew that the o-line would struggel at times especialy in the early part of the season. Would be nice to not, but that's why we need the preseason.

Thats why you play preseason games. Game time situations can't be assimilated except in game like conditions.

great play by Babin, someone read the screen perfectly...

Where was the intentional grounding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thier saying on the radio that Ross is schooling Babin. True?

Thats the only person he could school is a rookie. Babin just needs experience and Ross is a below average RT IMHO.

As a result of spending so much time on defense:

FOUR first downs (!)

EIGHT YARDS RUSHING TOTAL

over SIX MINUTES behind in possession time

and we gave up 280 Yards (!!!!)

:thumbdown

this game is sad...I wish they would have atleast shown up to play....1st string offense and defense played liked ****.

Not only are we playing like **** but the damn steelers are getting all the damn calls because of it too...I've never seen so many obvious homer calls in my life.

The Cowboys are so pathetic, they made us look real good last weekend at
home in Reliant. This week didn't get another NFC patsy, but had to go on
the road to play a tough AFC team. It is just preseason a game, but after
seeing how our starters did against the Steelers starters, it's a good reminder to all who are lineing up Texan playoff ticketts for this year -
we got a ways to go before we're contenders. C'mon back to earth fellas.

I had to check the born on date of my beer. For a moment tonight I was thinking that it was 2002 and I was just happy that Carr wasn't being sacked. ;)

Seriously, it's preseason so I'm not worried about things yet. No game plan, no DD, and the Steelers owe us one from that weird 2002 game where we had no offense and still won.

I'm not happy with things but it's not the end of the world, or the season. I just think maybe Capers shouldn't cancel practice for a trip to the movies anymore. That doesn't seem like it worked real well. ;)

So , first half, basically....

- Oline couldn't figure it out till the 3rd series - Hollings needs help to get it going
- it's pick on Robinson night
- our secondary has some film to study (and not Lord of the Rings)
- returns look pretty good save for Duff not running up to catch it.
- Dline needs to push instead of being pushed

If Capers didn't have much film to go off of from the first game, he has some now.

*edit* oh and if you turn someone's helmet when their running with the ball, it's not a face mask.
