Texans VS Patriots...Let's Predict :)

EllisUnit

Vote RED!!!
Ok hard to see the Patriots losing 3 in a row, so call me an optimist. We take this game big !

Texans 35

Patriots 17

Watt gets 4 sacks
Hopkins has 2 TDs
And we take a hold of first place in the AFC South.

Brady will get the ball out of his hands quickly. But everyone save Chandler will have trouble catching the ball.

We're going to do whatever it is we do & "luck" into a few points.

I think this game will be harder to watch than that Dallas/Redskins game.

Final score, 12-14

4 different patriots will have a touchdown. 31-14 patriots. This offense has issues. Hopkins will have butler shadowing him. And no run game.

I predict there will be a game played at 7:30 pm and there will be a,downpour of rain and lighting outside and there will be mad traffic getting to NRG

I had a bad feeling going into the Bills game, but I have a good feeling going into this game. Patriots are simply missing too many weapons on offense.

Texans 24 - 17

Well Gronk is back practicing so that means he'll probably play. Which means the Texans get destroyed.

Patriots 42
Texans 17

I think the Texans will get it done. Like the OP said, hard to see the Pats losing 3 straight, but I think the Texans take advantage of the Pats while they're down.

Watt has a broken left hand meaning he will want everyone to know he set the single game nfl sack record with one hand.

He goes pure beast mode...

I think the Texans will put up a good fight (as opposed to rolling over like they did with Miami and Atlanta).

But, Nuk and J.J. are going to be taken out by design, and I do not see the rest of the team rising up to the level required to challenge the Patriots. Texans continue to shoot themselves in the foot with dumb penalties and coaching tries too hard to beat their mentor. Game could be close, but ball in Hoyer's hands within 2 minute warning results in a typical four and out. Texans lose.

(Good news is I see them winning the last three, including finally getting a win in Indy.)

maybe but they have many offensive weapons and one is named Brady and we will lose. My wishing and hoping is for the Colts game.

Besides Gronk and Edelman who else do they really have other than Brady ? Oline is in shambles right now, no real weapons unless your counting keshawn Martin :kitten:

yeah I understand however, Brady and Gronk have had amazing success against us historically. Anyway, I remain cautiously optimistic that we can keep score close.

I think it helps Gronk is coming off an injury, we don't know how effective he will be.

Yeah, the defense will have to work to keep the score low, so our offense can manufacture points, however they manufacture points.

I'm hoping the Patriots D is weak enough to allow Hoyer to do what he does. Our points have primarily come from the passing game... & he's our trigger man.

I just hope OB isn't trying not to upset Belichick. We're going to need a lot of trick plays & misdirection. Make the Pats look clueless.

IIRC Gronk has done well against Texans while playing injured. The game result will depend on which Texans team shows up.

Gronk has only faced the Texans twice. First time was in 2012 in the playoffs. He was coming off injury (probably too soon). In the one target he got in that game, he reinjured himself and was out for the remainder of the game. Fortunately for the Pats, they didn't need him at all. The second game was in 2013. It was his 6th game back from injury, so unsure if he was still significantly hurt. But he did have a big game.

OK so I was listening to 610 radio tonight and they had about 5 guys on their show, including John "Hollywood" McClain.
So this is a Houston radio station, right . Everyone of them predicted the Pats win Sunday and most of them said by a TD.
Seriously, are we given no chance in this game here in Houston Sunday night ?

Its the Patriots. No matter how down they are they are a football machine that just keeps rolling along. Everyone waits every year for signs of it coming apart and it never does for 15 years running now.

Dont matter, we kick their ass.

I'd love to beat the Patriots silly. But this game is the least important of the last four games. Indianapolis is the most important by far, Jacksonville is next, then Tennessee and finally New England.

Now many think it's important as a statement game, but the excuses are already in place if we win to dismiss it as an aberration so it won't really make that desired statement. But the rest impact the division title which is very much in play.

I just don't see the pats losing 3 in a row.

Plus the Texans have a history of fear-boner during primetime games.
I'm guessing the Toros find a way to lose to the most beat-up patriots
team fielded in the last decade.

I though "everyone" recognized a change in the culture around here since OB showed up.

Not predicting it to happen, but what I'd like to see happen, is for OB to think outside the box and to do what no one would expect, and that is, to start Hunt at RB.

Last week OB limited Blue's carries and gave most of the load to Polk. OB was quoted in the Chronicle today as saying he would be making more changes at the position.

Hunt has had 12 touches in three games and is averaging 6 yds a carry. He is quick and fast. And he was quoted as saying he is getting more familar with the playbook. I'd like OB to have schemed an offense around Hunt's speed in this past week's practices and to start the game with Hunt. It's unlikely that the Pats would have anticipated this and schemed their defense oppropriately. This could be a huge first half advantage if it could be run effectively.

It seems everyone is impressed with his speed and one comment is that he's just a shoe string away from breaking a long one.

I'd like to see more of Polk in the main roll. I wouldn't have a problem seeing more Grimes, but it seems like he's a Rick Smith guy & Polk is an OB guy.

Hunt would be a great change of pace guy. Third down specialist if he can catch.

OB was quoted in the Chonicle as saying he had good hands. He also said they had had their eyes on him since before the draft.

Pats - 96 - 12TD's and 12 2pt conversions .... all in the first half.
Texans - 6. Watt tips & intercepts a pass and returns it for a TD , extra point blocked.

It was coming down hard here. I suspect the roof will be closed. MAKE NOISE (when we're on defense)!

Even if we should win, we're an underdog for the division title. We have to play in Lucas Oil Stadium next week. I wouldn't grease my boots with Lucas oil.

The way the colts just got smoked it's easy to see they have bigger issues than just missing Luck.

Prime time, against the Pats, with this offense?

Pats—30
Texans—14

Hope like hell I'm wrong. I work in an office full of dbag Pats fans, so I have been hearing it all day
