LOL...Cowboys aren't even a real rival, yes lets win this one, but damn if the Cowgirls keep stinking it up like I"m sure they will do, who cares?!
 
Cowboys/Texans game prices have gotten insane, makes me feel even more lucky I get to go!

These are a bit over priced but not by much(considering what other tickets are going for).
 
You need to go the the cowgurls board to try to sell these. I feel dirty that a Texans fan would try to do that to other Texans fans.

I would think a Dallas fan would want to spent that kind of $ on this game.. Personally, I don't know why someone would pay 800 for 1 game when it could have got you dang near a pair of season tickets. Shoot, and it is not even that big of a game, sure Dallas is Dallas, but really...1 time every 4 years and you want to pay that... oh well.

There are GAME DAY fans, and RECLINER/COUCH/SPORTS BAR FANS. The GAME DAY FANS have their ticket. :shades:
 
Agree to disagree......I am pretty sure one could trim their budget by $50 (for section 700) or $58.33 (Section 600 endzone) a month for a pair of season tickets if they REALLY wanted them. The Texans season tickets are a GREAT VALUE!

Yeah, we'll agree to disagree. You know there a lot more costs involved than just the seat price.

And if you have a family of 4 you are looking at a $200 a game for those seats alone. that's $2000 for season tickets without considering any of the other costs. I know more families that cannot afford that than families that can.
 
I take it you did not major in math.......How do you get $200 PER GAME for 4 tickets? Section 700 is $30 X 4 = $120 Section 600 ENDZONE is $35 X 4 = $140. ALL 4 DO NOT HAVE TO GO TO EVERY GAME, TAKE TURNS! All you need is a PAIR that is $600 or $700 per season. That is $50 or $58.33 PER MONTH! Cook in instead of taking the family of 4 out to eat ONE TIME A MONTH!

I will agree with that.. add the extra 200 for parking..and then the tailgating aspect of it..who can really put a good figure on that.
As for what you said OLP8, I had a friend who had season tickets but could not afford to purchase them this season so he watches from home now, is he any less of a "fan" now? Is DB who had other priorities come along who now thinks his money is spent better elsewhere, is he less of a "fan" now?
You do not have to go to the actual game and tailgate and all of that to be a true fan..I will honestly say that over the past 8 years and stupid dollars I have spent on everything Texans related, that I am no more a fan than the guy who is at home watching or at a bar.. or the guy who has spent more than me anymore of a fan than I am.

Thank you hobie! That is what I was trying to say. To assume that anyone that wants to go to the game can find a way to afford it, or not be a true fan, comes across as sanctimonious crap to me. I have been to one game at Reliant, and enjoyed it tremedously. And if I could afford season tickets, I would get them. But, I would have to get the for the family, not on a rotational basis. I couldn't even think of telling my wife and girls that no, they can't go to this game just because I want to. That would be like telling your kid that you will take him fishing "next time".
 
I had season tickets for the first 4 years. However driving down from Austin every game was too much and there were seasons I couldn't even give the tickets away when I couldn't make it.

How about the people like my dad this season who was trying to buy season tickets/PSL's and had even offered over the selling price and could not get people to sell?

What?????!?!?! I have a single lady neighbor who just lost her mother. Both of which were HUGE Texans fans. As teachers (both she and her mother) really couldn't afford season tickets.... SO no, not ALL Texans fans "already have SEASON TICKETS"!!!

Well I AM A SCHOOL TEACHER TOO!!!!!!!!!!! I can afford season tickets because I BUDGET for them! WOW..... just like a new house, a car, new roof, new fridge, and for god sakes a NEW COMPUTER. If you WANT something you find a way to do it. If some people did not have 12,000 post on here, they might find their time better spent picking up a second income to afford tickets!:pirate:

And by the way, I am paying for a daughter in College at SHSU, I was once told, DON'T TELL ME HOW ROUGH THE WATER IS, JUST BRING THE SHIP IN!

I think you are missing the point OLP8. Just because someone watches the game at home does not make them less a fan than you or I..I will reference DB, (Hope you don't mind bro) He had another kid, that makes 3 if not mistaken, and well his dollars are used differently now, it is called priorities. He was a season ticket holder from day 1, has custom jerseys and a hardhat.. was in Gridiron before it became gridiron...he is as big a Texans fan as anyone here, but yet he spends his time home with his kids now watching the games.. Sometimes it is not all money, it is about responsibilities.. I for one think he is a great fan, as much as you and I are.. he just stays at home now because it is the right thing for HIM to do...

It's wrong for you to sit in judgement of people whose situations you do not know! I could care less about your situation. Who are you to determine what or who a fan is or isn't??? The lady I described (the teacher) was taking care of her mother that has recently passed away. The care of her mother was her primary concern, but understand this, she is a Texan!!!

On another note, I must thank you!! Having just completed the new Performing Arts Center at Sam put a nice little check in my pocket! That check alone covers my seats for about the next 7 - 8 years!!!

Wow, I guess since I'm not a teacher who budgets everything out to a T like that, and I make more than $100k a year, and I don't have season tickets, I'm not a REAL fan. It sucks to be penalized as a fan because I choose to spend everything I make on my wife and kids, giving to others, helping my Mom with her bills, etc. I plan my life around the schedule to make sure I'm at home when the Texans play, but yet I'm not a REAL fan. Damn that sucks for me.
 
If you wanna scalp for profit you should just pay this site an annual fee for the right to do so. $100 - $200 a year would be fair since you high rollers are making bank.

We should put up a poll and vote on it? What's the worst that can happen? Maybe they won't post here anymore???
