Texans VS Colts....Lets Predict ;)

EllisUnit

Vote RED!!!
OK so now we have TJ Yates as our starter, i like our chances better with him than i do Hoyer everyday of the week. The Jags just hung 50+ on the Colts, with a compitent offense we should get in the high 20s....

Texans 31

Colts 9

- TJ Yates throws 4 TDs, 1 to Nate. 2 to Hopkins and 1 to Griffin. He starts the rest of the season.
- Watt has 4 sacks and a FF
- Texans defense holds Colts to 3 FGs

*** We take over first place of the last place AFC South and get our first W in Indy which i dont care how you look at it (Feels GREAT).

Texans win. TJ Yates adds to his legacy of Greatest Backup QB in Houston history! :texflag:

While I cannot predict it, I really want to see the Texans embarrass the Colts so much that it sets their entire franchise back a decade.

I predict the Texans take an early lead and hang on into mid way through fourth quarter. Then the officials intervene as usual and the Colts come back to win on highly suspicious penalty calls, just like almost every game ever played in Indy between the Texans and Colts.

Colts 23
Toros 17
Although I'm predicting a moderate margin in the score, the chance of a Colt win is 100%. The zebras will do as much as is necessary to insure that.
The Texans better be on the watch from the get-go for trick plays if they want to avoid embarrassment. Their coach will try onside kicks, fake punts, and/or fake field goals if he thinks he will need them. And they will work. Their coach is 20X better than ours.

Their coach is 20X better than ours.

Pagano goes 11-5 for three straight seasons with Luck. This season is 6-7 even with Luck for half of those games.

OB goes 9-7 and 6-7 with Fitz, Mallett, Savage Keenum, Hoyer and Yates.

I'm not sure that I'm ready to say Pagano is 20x better than OB simply because he pencils in Luck every Sunday as the starter.

Bulls unleash laughable lunacy so horrible it tingles. :)

I agree with this. A false start will turn into a strip sack. An offsides will lead to busted coverage & a TY Hilton 99.5 yard TD reception.

It's going to snowball the way it always does.

The Colts are taking this game seriously. They know their season might just hinge on this game. Hasselbeck has been their best QB in the absence of luck and even though he is not completely healthy, he will start. The Colts will cream our corn for us and the Texans season ends here.
Colts 35
Texans 20

Is this the same Colts team that got thrashed for 51 by the Jags last week, i just don't see it.

Two below average teams competing for a playoff spot they can only get by being the champion of a division that sucks. Yeah, I'd say that either team is capable of pulling off this debacle. Hopefully it's the Texans.

Texans 16
Dolts 6

Texans win this one .... then lose the next two to the Tinbreds and the Jags.

The Jags win out .... and win the division in the process.

Is anyone else concerned that the last time the Texans played the Colts, Hassleback was fresh out of the hospital and he torched them?

A little bit, but as CnD has pointed out in the injury thread, Hasselbeck is dealing with a rib injury, and may very well be one good hit from being knocked out of the game, as opposed to the last time (when he was dealing with the flu). He was knocked out of last week's game, and if anything, he's probably more susceptible to it after another (partial) game of getting hit. Plus, I would guess (having zero first hand experience) that for a short period of time, it's easier to manage the symptoms associated with flu than with the specific rib injury it sounds like Hasselbeck has.

Most rib injuries are a matter of pain tolerance. With the importance of this game, I wonder if the Colts/Hasselbeck would risk local anesthetics.

Too many turnovers and drops. Oh and we get out coached AGAIN. Double team Hop, double team JJ, Davis shuts down his guy, they throw the ball long and we get interference because we don't look for ball. Dumb penalties....
We do have a chance because TJ can and will throw the long ball but to who??? We lose again.

This is THE season for the Texans. The first year that the Texans lose to the Dolphins in the regular season is also the same year that:

41-17 Texans win @ Lucas Oil

Where's the fricking game day thread? Yall are getting lazy.

Or maybe we need to be lazy? If we win today we'll have to figure out what caused it.

I feel you pain, and completely understand why you would feel this way. Something else nobody has mentioned was 2011 when with Yates as our QB after the Schaub injury we went into Lucas Oil and got beaten by Dan Freakin' Orlovsky and the 2-14 Colts.

So can Yates earn his spot in Texans lore and slay the dragon that has been eating our sheep for so many seasons, or will Charlie Whitehurst come in after Hasselback goes down and light us up?

I'm hopeful for a win, but after what I just wrote, you have to admit nobody should be surprised by a loss here all things considered.

Go Bulls!

It wasn't pretty, but... Indy did us a favor by staying with Hasselbeck. He couldn't go long. Maybe the Colts' success at buying the officials is over. The game was called fairly.

I'll be damned.
Defense pitches a 2nd half shutout and adds a couple of needed T/Os.
Weeden puts 13 pts on the board for the win.

Where's the start Weeden over Hoyer thread?

It isn't needed because Hoyer isn't ready to come back.
