The Texans offense should be more potent than last year & ready to average one of the higher per game totals in the 2004 NFL season. The defense however will need time to adjust, heel and prepare the rookies for a steller 2nd half, so look for some high scoring games on both sides until mid season ( I'm hoping the Texans defense comes of age after the bye week- Halloween & the Jacksonville Jaguars OCT 31st Reliant Stadium).
 
I don't know if anyone else noticed it but according to ESPN's best NFL season openers, the Texans ranked no.3 in beating the "you know who" 19-10!
 
I picked the Cowboys and Dolphins to win the past two seasons and that worked great for us.

What a sweet victory. The 'Boys had been trash-talking and dissing their new Texas counterparts, and had to eat their words. Rookie QB David Carr led the Texans to an early 10-0 lead over the Cowboys, then tossed a 65-yard TD pass to Corey Bradford in the fourth quarter to put the Texans up for good. Ahead 17-10, the Texans decided to rub it in, as Seth Payne sacked Cowboys QB Quincy Carter in the end zone for a safety with less than three minutes remaining. The Reliant stadium crowd of 69,604, which had been extraordinarily loud throughout the nationally-televised matchup on ESPN, went nuts.

The Texans became only the second team in NFL history to win its opener.

PAINFUL choice of words! I tell ya, if this stupid Hurricane Ivan hits Florida AGAIN and knocks out my satellite dish on Sunday, I'm climbing on the roof and making a new one out of whatever I can find--palm tree fronds, roof tiles, coathangers, my 5-iron....I will NOT miss the season opener!

By the way, I need some taut, stretchy material to replace a tarp we lost. Anybody think Jerry Jones would loan me one of his cheeks until the hurricane passes? It should stretch to cover my patio door. :hehe:
 
44 to 17 Texans.

We have little trouble stopping LT, but they give him the ball enough that EVENTUALLY they get it in. Robinson lets one slip by and they score on a pass.. and they manage to drive down for a field goal. Other than that.. our offense surpises all the naysayers and totally dominates the charger defense.

Hey T E I don't think it will pass code if you use one of JJ's cheeks. It might even block the tv signal to the whole area. I hope you have a safe hurricane season out there dude.

Chargers 34 Texans 38 neither team has an answer for each others RB's. LT will have 186 yds rushing and 78 rec. AJ will have 135 yds and 3 TD's DD will have 127 yds and a TD
 
texans have no chance for a blow out this year because they arent a blowout kinda team no players that are among the top 3 at their position on offense that could open a game wide open.... but the chargers have 1

42-13 chargers tomlinson rushes for 323 breaks the nfl rushing record. Carr gets sacked 8 times loses 3 fumbles chargers convert them all into TD's that is a more likely scenario than some of the nonsense you all have put up
