To me, it looks like Booty makes the right decisions, his accuracy just isn't there. I mean, this is just a preseason game, but I can't remember the last time I watched a game that had this many great catches in it. Think about all the great catches in this one game. We have offensive weapons everywhere (We just need some RBs). Dorin Dickerson can be molded into a GREAT weapon (a mismatch). When people hit him, they get hurt.

Which is the case for a lot of NFL teams. If Manning goes down, the Colts lose until he comes back. DanO started good, but then just flamed out. Booty consistently overthrew recievers, but at least scored and didn't throw an interception.

Andre Ware was saying that when you are the back up qb you sometimes only get like 1 rep if any at all. He mentioned that alot of the throws looked off due to lack of timing. He said for Booty to be making this kind of movement with the ball it is because he at least knows where to go with the ball.
 
OK, some of y'all need perspective. Booty looked better than DanO with very, very few reps. When Matt Schaub is finished practicing, they give all their attention to DanO. With all the coaching and faith from the coaching staff that he's received, DanO looks like crap.

I think Booty is worth coaching up. I do not feel that way about DanO, regardless what his multi-million dollar contract says.

He almost brought us back against Az. In all his time he got, he's looked really good.
 
My post wasn't a insult to Booty, it was a compliment to our receivers.....They were making highlight catches left and right. It was fun to watch.

Feel bad for him. Had a great camp. Did good things tonight but made poor decision in RZ. Gotta protect the ball. Hate for him to end the preseason that way. That just cant happen though.

Impressive. Has missed a lot of time. Goes in there and handled himself well. Gave us a chance to win.

Have to look at everything tomorrow.

First thing, Xavier played good. We'll see where he's at. What I thought I saw was pretty good. Bentley can always play there. X got through the game clean.

He was fresh so looked faster than others. Let me reserve judgement. Excited he played.

Definantely he could. Is he still the guy or can he be? Yes he can.

You wanted to play Orlovsky most of the game, why take him out?

Didnt want to lose him. JDB deserved to get on the field. Have to take a strong look at what he did.

Update on Jeremiah?

Dislocated toe.

Have you seen enough from those guys to make it or plans to look elsewhere?

Got issues. Steves out. Jeremiah is gonna miss some time. Have to look at Henry. ONly got 2 healthy RBs. GOtta see where we're at. Day to day.

Position battle at guard?

Have to look at it. GOod battle. Caldwell was doign a good job. Mike just pushed him to the limit. COuld do a rotation if neither proved to seperate themself.

He has been fine in camp. Has to learn from things. Did good things in the game. GOtta protect the ball in this league. Have not lost confidience in Dan.

TEs had a lot of catches. James Casey in particular.

Brian does a good job with them. James was exceptional. I pulled him in the 4th. Garrett, Derek made some plays. Strong group we got. Got too many bodies there so tough cuts.

The FGs are equal. Looked hard at KOs. Fine line there.

Nolan stood out to me again. Jumped at me. Adibi jumped at me. Cant dismiss what JDB did. Our TEs also did good.

Glad preseason is over?

Yeah, ready to get going. Been a good camp. Proud of young guys tonight. Kids were excited and had chance at the end. Time to buckle up and go to work.

He's raw, but you couldn't ask for a better 7th round prospect, that guy has unique rare skills.

I thought he played really well, maybe I missed some stuff. He could have ran some bad routes or done poor at blocking. Lots of stuff we don't get to see that goes into games.
 
Kris Brown is as good as gone. You don't feel bad about letting a guy go if you just brought him in for a kicking competition. You feel bad if the guy you are letting go is the only player the franchise has ever known at his position. The other thing is we know these guys were pretty dead even in games but we don't know who was winning in practice.

So since Kris was let go in before the 2010 reg season and Pitts was let go before the 2010 reg season. Is it safe to say that Kris Brown and Pitts were the last original Texans standing. I just don't want Kris to win that over Pitts.
 
Brown will be recognized for his work with the Texans, but if there is anyone better out there, Brown will be gone. Same with AJ when he's 46 and can't run the deep routes anymore.
 
Rackers kicks the ball off, and looks to knock somebody's head off
right after. I mean he goes down to cover the kicks HIMSELF. Joe
Marciano would probably lean towards Rackers, as he's been this
kind of maniac-kicker his entire career.

Dorin just needs a year or two to train in this offense. I remember
when Jacoby couldn't run a good route to save his life. The route
he ran against Dallas for that first touchdown was a thing of beauty.
Dorin just needs to keep training with Dre and Jacoby.

I wonder how much of his accuracy issues were timing. I don't think he's been practicing much because of the sore shoulder.
