EAGLES ADD SEVEN
Posted by Mike Florio on April 28, 2008, 6:23 p.m.

The Philadelphia Eagles have signed seven undrafted free agents.

They are: Kyle Harrington, CB, Hofstra; Jed Collins, FB, Washington State; Franklin Dunbar, OT, Middle Tennessee State; Terrell Golden, WR, Penn State; Frantz Hardy, WR, Nebraska; Shaheer McBride, WR, Delaware State; and Justin Roland, LB, Kansas State.
There goes the guy I wanted.

I would like us to look at all these guys.

12. David Roach, S, T.C.U.
13. Ezra Butler, OLB, Nevada
15. Jolonn Dunbar, ILB, Boston College
16. D.J. Hall, WR, Alabama

I remember another home grown prospect that had severe social anxiety and depression disorder. Yes, he was a UT alumni and was drafted by the Saints. Soon he was traded to the Dolphins and then he "retired" from football instead of take the one year suspension for self medicating with Mary Jane. And now he's trying to restart his career. What GM wants that headache?

It's bad enough that we have one defensive player that has to be on meds for his ADD, do we really need a second player to babysit?

If I were to put myself in any FO's shoes, I steer clear of this Blake kid no matter what his potential is. And honestly, that's an outsider non-homer opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

I don't think it is fair to lump Tommy Blake in with Rickey Williams. As far as I know Blake has never been linked to any illegal drug usage. Everything I have ever heard about Blake's character has been positive. He simply has a medical condition and he is seeking treatment for it.

Bess > Grice-Mullen > Rivers

About 150 NFL WRs > Bess > Grice-Mullen > Rivers

Looks like they got their info from the Chronicle because they have Mading's name spelled wrong. It's 'Nading', not Mading...
John McClain's incompetence spreads through the internet like wildfire.

Turnabout is fair play. For the rest of the offseason, it's Johm NcClaim.

Has anyone heard anything about Jamie Silva DB Boston College? I was hoping we would pick this guy in the 7th round. Dont think he was drafted. Would be a nice UDFA pickup.

Hey we got a track record. I figgured we were getting good at it. Besides, you want the defensive players a little bit crazy.

Outside of the low Trent Green cheap shot block in the miami game, I thought T.J. managed himself prety good last year. And I'm for anything that can get Manning on the ground, repeatedly and with severe malice.

I'm kinda surprised that J Leman wasn't drafted.

He was really the only player on that defense up until this year. Maybe his stats were inflated because of that...

Yes, the guy is on my last nerve. I think he has been reading from a script for the last 3 weeks and knows no real football.

I wish we could have acquired Marcus Dixon. I really wanted to see the young man get a shot at the NFL. I didn't think the Texans would take a look even though he would have been nice opposite Mario. With he past I already knew it would be the Raiders or the Cowboys that got him. Jerry is giving him a shot at making that team and I hate to see it but good for him. I think this guy might be the best undrafted free agent that is out there. JMO.

After hearing about his story and finding other stuff about it, he got a raw deal, but that does not fully expell that he was stupid and doing something he shouldn't have been doing.

The pr issue just would never let McNair sign off on it.

I doubt McNair was ever approached. Dixon is a best fit as a 3-4 DE. Which is what he'll be playing in Dallas.

I will be honest I only know of the kids situation and not where he would play best 3-4 or 4-3. because of his past I am sure he was no where on the radar and there would be no reason to approach him.

For a forth ? I dunno about that one. I'd of taken a sixth round flyer on him...but a fourth round pick ? ...Pittsburg wanted him bad.

Batch is getting up there above the thirty line and once Dixon heals up, he'll be a perfect back up for Big Ben. er Marcus, not Dennis... never mind.

ubecool454 is referring to Marcus Dixon, the DE out of Howard. Not Dennis Dixon, the QB from Oregon.

...and Sam Keller to be a backup QB, had a good career at ASU and Nebraska.

No thanks.

The reason he was kicked off the Arizona St football team is that he was caught by a teammate doing coke at an ASU frat house.

We don't need that here.
