Texans Talk Pickem - 2009

I have never played with confidence points , but again I don't pick much due to I am cursed when it comes to games
 
I hope I assumed correctly when I think 1 is more of a confident pick than 16.

Yeah...we did confidence points last year. I like it that way...tried to get some friends to put up some diet cokes...but no takers.

gwallaia - As far as how to play...No spread involved...just pick the team to win...if you aren't too confident, lay a low confidence value on that game. If you are reallly confident on the game, lay a high confidence value on the game. You can only use a specific confidence value 1 time per week, in other words, you rank all the games 1 through 16 based on how confident you are on each game. Your score is based on the number of games you win. For each game you win, you get that number of confidence points.

The overall winner is the one who has the most points for the entire season. You can change your picks up to 5 minutes prior to the game beginning. Make sense?

If I recall correctly I was leading last years group down to the last week... lets see if we can't go one better this year and win this thing.

Nah, I almost went wire-to-wire! You snuck in towards the end, but for the most part, it was DOMINATION!!

(Hey, every league needs a villain)

By the way - am I missing where on the pick screen, it denotes which team is home and which is away? That's kind of important...

I noticed that also. You have to look at the user picks %/schedule to the right to determine the home/away team.

Under the listings for the underdog teams it will either say "vs" or "@"

Example:

Wow. I put a dime on that game and wondered if anyone went higher. Looks like it...lol. There are at least four no-brainers this week so I guess that stands to reason.

Uh, I put 1 point on that game, I didn't see a tougher one to pick for the week.

Maybe Vinny was playing the risk/reward angle.
