HOUSTON -- The Texans signed free agent cornerback Jon Pendergrass Monday and released linebacker David Moretti.

Pendergrass was released by the Jets during training camp last year. He was originally signed by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on Apr. 25, 2002. Pendergrass played safety at Southern Illinois.

well, the loss of Moretti is really no big loss at all. I watched him when he was on the field for Cologne this NFLE season, and he always seemed to be around the ball. The problem with that is the fact that when he was around the ball was when the play was already over. He just never seemed to be able to make the play, but was always near when the play was over. I was not impressed one bit.

Ya, I knew who you were referring to. I was thinking his name was Pendergast, but I am thinking of someone else. Teddy is Pendergrass after all. At least he still has his singing career if football doesn't work out.
