according to his wiki, he only gave up 1.5 sacks in 2008. hopefully he's 100% healthy and able to play right away if Newton doesn't pan out.

Dennison: T Ryan Harris is "moving well. He understands the language. Athletic kid, smart kid, very aggressive kid." #Texans
Thanks for posting. If this cat can get and stay healthy that goes a long way toward good to possibly great depth on the line.
Really early to tell now I know but does anyone for-see Harris being able to push Newton for the starting job?
If we can even just platoon that RT spot with Newton and Harris...it'll keep both guys fresh all game long, help toward the marathon that they'll endure for the next 19 games.
Most of the time, but not all, once a player starts getting nicked up a lot in the NFL, they continue down that road. That's why I'm leary of this guy ever playing full time, just like how I feel about AJ and Schaub.
But everyone knows predicting the NFL is like predicting the weather. We got 16 games ahead of us, we'll see.
O linemen shouldn't have much trouble staying fresh. At least not at this point in their NFL careers.
I doubt we'll see that happen.
I think getting (T) Ryan Harris has been a big positive for our team. I think hes shown some really good stuff in the few days hes been here and Im excited about him helping out this team also.
