Texans Schedule release today (04.23.14)

We're definitely getting a Thursday night game and I think we're somehow gonna end up with a Sunday Night game as well (thanks to BO'B / 1st pick intrigue).

Isn't every team supposed to get a Thursday night game?

My guess is a home Thursday night game vs Jax. That way they get rid of two of last year's worst teams with one game, instead of two crummy games. At HOU because they want the game competitive, so make the team with 2 more wins play on the road.

At Oak 3:05 sunday. 14 other games at noon sunday.

Welcome back to 2-14.

I think we'll get at least one Monday night game in addition to the obligatory Thursday night. They can promote the heck out of JJ and whoever ends up being the #1 pick (assuming it's not traded). Sunday night will have to wait until at least 2015.

Right or wrong, the expectations for the Texans outside of the city of Houston seem to be somewhat higher than those of most local fans.

We get the 2nd MNF, opening week game again. Texans @ Raiders....Schaub: The Revenge

I REALLY hope that doesn't happen again this season!!! It was beyond terrible having to wait that long for kickoff (they didn't really start to play til midnight due to that lightning delay), especially when I had to work early the next day!

A 3 hour prime time special complete with "countdown clock"... for a schedule!

One sign you might be taking yourself too seriously.

Not too much intrigue on the schedule for a prime-time game.

Except...

Baltimore @ Houston. Kubiak returns.

I thought Dallas Houston would be to sweet for the NFL to not but it on thanksgiving but maybe the national ratings would not be has good IDK since its more of a state region intrest IDK

but I def think Dallas/ Houston will deff be a prime time game

I could see that game, possibly one of the Colts games and the Cowboys being on primetime. We will only get one + a Thursday game though.

Really ? The only people who really care about that game are some of Houston's fans. And I'm a big Texans fan, but I care more about some of our other opponents, especially Indy.

We have the best defensive player in football and a #1 pick coming, Houston is a huge market, and our bad year was a fluke.

Wouldn't be surprised if we end up with two nationally televised games on top of the obligatory Thursday game.

That's what I'm thinking too.

At giants early would be nice playing the giants at the end of the season usually means bad things

both teams will be at a even keel

I still bet we get the second MNF week 1 game vs the Raiders.

EDIT:

From NJ.com’s report:
The Jets will open their 2014 regular season against the Raiders at home, according to a league source who requested anonymity because the schedule has not been officially released.

Whew! Get to avoid Schaubs fury in primetime.

I can't tell if people are being serious or not with the Schaub / Kubiak "story lines".

Among die-hard Texans fans, the games against Raiders / Ravens are a little more interesting because of that element, but to the rest of the world, not so much.

The next time Tom Brady or Bill Belchick plays / coaches against the Patriots, that will influence the TV schedulers. Schaub / Kubes, errr, no.

Clowney and JJ watt will take out Mr RGIII week 1 .... then they will deff tae out all there anger on Schaub LOL HAHAHA

Nice! I love it when the Cowboys are in town the same weekend that PV vs Grambing play in the State Fair Classic.

I just saw the Texans won't be playing a playoff team until week 6. Not too shabby.
